Not one of the players is "even" very good IMO (while Moli and Cristo are potentially so).

Blueo, have you been celebrating Independence?

Oh, Andrade, he's very good. I didn't know we'd signed him.

The management has been very miserly with the spending. I think we needed one more quality CB apart from Andrade. But otherwise the rest of the departments look pretty decent from the point of view of a side that will not be competing in Europe this season

New rumour that Boumsong will be loaned to Lyon so they can cover the hole left by Cris' injury...maybe that will trigger a CB purchase?

Nedved & Del Piero are getting old & would not last full 90 mins so can compliment each other. Grygera can play instead of Zebina in case boumsong plays CB

Are any Juve players out injured at the moment? The last couple of games I've seen Ranieri has been playing with this line up

Buffon; Grygera, Andrade, Criscito, Molinaro; Nocerino, P. Zannetti, Almiron, Nedved; Del Piero, Trezeguet

    ok That will be great
But does Heinze play as a CB. I thought he was more of a LB.
If he does then the defense line would be:

    ------------------------------Buffon-----------------------

    Grygera--------Andrade-------------Heinze-----Cheillini

There seem to be a few injuries at the moment. Here's a statement from the Coach made recently:
Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri faces an injury crisis ahead of Friday’s Berlusconi Trophy tie against Milan.

The Bianconeri face the Diavoli for the second time in three days having been beaten 1-0 in a 45-minute encounter in Tuesday evening's TIM Trophy.

While both sides will be determined to secure a confidence-boosting win in their final pre-season test, Ranieri admits his squad has been ravaged by injury.

“Sadly we have some absentees as Giorgio Chiellini, David Trezeguet and Cristiano Zanetti all have small injuries, Sergio Almiron has a niggle and Tiago Mendes isn’t at full fitness,” the ex-Parma tactician admitted.

“Mauro Camoranesi is working hard to recover, but he has only done 10 per cent of the work the others have. This will be a chance to find a new solution.

Del Piero closer to new contract Saturday 18 August, 2007

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alessandro Del Piero’s contract renegotiations will not drag on, assures Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli.

The captain’s current deal expires in June 2008 and it is reported the Bianconeri only want a one-year renewal.

“Del Piero is a fundamental figure for Juve and we will work to reach a positive conclusion for all concerned,” said Cobolli Gigli.

Alex was in fine form during last night’s Trofeo Berlusconi match, even if Milan won 2-0.

“I am not happy to have lost, but I saw a good Juventus who were toned and sharp,” continued the President.

“Unfortunately Pippo Inzaghi punished us. I think the squad is there and the comments around me have been positive. We have a long way to go, but we’re on the right track.”

The transfer columns are always filled with links to the Turin giants, but talk of a bid for Arsenal’s Gilberto Silva are shot down.

“I believe our transfer market has closed and we are not seeking other players.”

    ----------------------------------------------------

    Good news, hopefully he'll play until he's 40. Delps=Juve.

They better give him whatever he demands...he's deserves it more than anyone else & he has proved it again & again. It's a shame to see the management act so miserly & thankless to some of it's loyal players. They are setting a bad example.

Yes...we should do that. And I had created a new one that will follow progress for this season...Juventus FC Season 2007-08

This one already existed from the past & posters have been posting on this as well...
