Some might flop because I haven't seen them play (Bouchard, Beynie and Benhamida. Others have real talents: Bettiol, Clerc, Toutalan, Kallstrom, Benzema, Ben Arfa, especially the last 4.

Man Utd: Average Age = 21.8

Simpson(20) - - Pique(20) - - Evans(19) - - Evra(25)

Then give an opinion on what positions you think your club needs to make signings in, e.g. Man Utd need a left winger, Arsenal need a goalkeeper.
For some teams the future will look bright. For other teams you may have a lot of old players in your squad and the young players might not appear good enough.
Says a lot about our clubs really.
thats pretty much our present first team you've got there, whereas I've never seen Evans play, simpson has probably only made an handful of appearances too, and Pique was very unimpressive when I did see him, though apparently he is doing well for Zaragoza.

I wanted to do this but I couldn't come up with any decent fullback.. from midfield and onwards it is easy.. but defenders..
Don't forget Olmo, he's also a central defender. Though honestly, I don't expect Valiente to break through, I think he'll end up like Rodri.
Yeah it seems as if rijkaard more a fan of Olmo than he is of Valienti, But i place him the because he is the Better player IMO, and i take our point about him ending up like Rodri so next season is going to be a very important time in is young career same goes for Crosas.

Thanks. I think some of these players will leave the club in a few years, in particularly Ben Arfa, that Houllier puts on the bench most of the time like an idiot.

Huntington - Will never become top class, he has talent but shits himself infront of a large crowd. Bag of nerves.
Ramage - Shite
Edgar - Looks good, but not that good. Won't ever be a first team player for us.
Pattison - Never be a first teamer, ruined by injuries.
LuaLua - Turned 16 in december and has already been on the bench several times for the first team. Youth coach reckons he's the new Gazza.
Carroll - Big lanky slow striker, the next Crouch at best IMO.
Donaldson - Don't know much about him, but he's already in the reserves despite only being 15.

Rossi looked shite for us, and he's nearing 20 isn't he. LuaLua only turned 16, he was against a bunch of 19/20 year olds. Our reserves over 18 are shite, Cave, Gate etc. The U18s however are a good bunch, and LuaLua has been fantastic in the FA Youth Cup.Parks lives wrote:LuaLua looked poor last night Kimbo against our reserves.

These kids are fairly special. It means we won't have to spend big in the transfer market over the next few years as we have a great batch of kids coming through. Armand Traore has demonstrated what a promising player he is throught the Carling Cup run. Bendtner has been doing very well at Birmingham City as well. Everyone knows about Johan Djourou, Theo Walcott and Cesc Fabregas - All these teens went to the World Cup last Summer. Finally Carlos Vela who has been compared to Leo Messi by some people. A striker by trade but has been on the left attacking midfield role for Salamanca. He already has 7 goals to his name over there.
I still have not mentioned Muamba, van den Berg etc.

merida is prob not going to play along side cesc. and unless arsenal sell cesc then i dont think merida will play with arsenal and denilson might face the same problem.
i think the same could be said about traore(clichy) bendter(adabayor) vela(rvp).

Madness. That's 5 or 6 players i can see being in the first team in 5 years time, depending on whether Given is past his sell by date by then.

Sporting's possible future:
---------------------------- Rui Patrício (19)
--------- ? ------ Semedo (21) -- Miguel Veloso (20) -- Ronny (20)
B. Pereirinha (19) - Fábio Paim (19) - João Moutinho (20) - Nani (20)

Veloso, Moutinho, Nani, Pereirinha, Yannick, Patrício and Ronny are all in the first team already. Paim should join next year, and hopefully Varela gets a run in the squad too; big strong tricky striker.
Semedo is on loan at Cagliari, hopefully he's learning some stuff over there and comes back a better player for it.
Keeping these guys at the club will be the hard part.

thats my choice. We can't develop a decent RB, so it will have to be Garcia. I can't agree with you with Semedo. He is useless. Carriço, on the other hand, looks real quality, I am most curious to see him in grown up games. A similar style like Veloso.
For subs, there are interesting players - Tiago Pinto (can he make to national team liek his father?), Yannick Pupo, João Martins (hopefully with more brain cells than his brother) and I used to like to see Alison playing, but don't know where is he. Other interesting players loaned out, like Zezinando. I already lost my hopes on the striker that was the first test tube baby.

Re: The Future of your Club?
Doninha, if Miguel Garcia is our future RB we're in some trouble.
I know about Carriço, but I don't think I've ever seen him play, so I went with Semedo even though it seems he's finished at Sporting. I've read some positive things about him in Italy though, so maybe he'll get another chance. He's big and strong, good qualities for a CB right?
Tomané looked lively in the games he was called up for last season, but I'd still really like to see Varela get a chance with the club. He's taking a lot of time to develop, and hasn't been very impressive for Setúbal when I've seen him, but I can't help but thinking I'd rather seen him at Sporting than Alecs. Varela is a lively guy and he's shown some real quality at times, he just needs to calm down and better his finishing.
BTW, do you agree Moutinho should be playing more as a 6 than what he's been doing? He's good at everything, but IMO his best performances have been as a defensive force pushing the team forward with his clean and inteligent passes.

Re: The Future of your Club?
Of course.
I always defended that the 6 position is the one better for him, at Sporting.
The pundits always prefer him playing as 10, but in their opinion any guy who has some technique would have to play always in the 10 position. 3 10's, 2 6's, and a line-up with 34 players...
Moutinho is amazing in the 6 position. He defends better than most anchor man, and he injects dynamic in the game. He recovers the ball and wins 10-15 meteres with his pace, followed by incisive passing.
Perhaps in a different league he would have to play in a 8 positio, but for Portugal, Moutinho playing in the 6 is like playing with an extra player (as we saw against Leiria).
