How is Pirlo - Gattuso = Ballack - Frings? It's won a World cup and a Champions league together dominating most teams in both Europe and Internationally.
I except they have the added bonus of being used to each other with them both playing together regularly for Milan but it's unequalled in recent times.

Stop talking about Ballack in a positive manner, he is one of the worst players in the top 4, the whole world has seen him for the average player he is.
Frings is a very good player, with a fantastic shot, but he wouldnt get into any of the top clubs in the world and I wouldnt want him in the England team.

I don't think we can judge Bollock on what he's done so far, Essien and countless other struggled on their first year and went on to show their quality, for all we know Bollock could be the top midfielder in the league next year.

Essien is in his mid 20s, Ballack is 30, if it takes him 2 seasons to adapt, you will have one good season out of him and even that season wont be as good as when he was 27/28. Also Ballack doesnt even look like he is trying, he looks like he is on holiday, although a guarenteed 130k a week does that to players who are 30.
