But what is he? The indispensible, giving his all, heart of a team? Or a talentless Perm-pal, who can run a bit?

He should have applied for a German passport and play for us instead.blutgraetsche wrote:The genuinely funniest moment of WC 2006: Hargreaves scores the only penalty for England, a player who grew up and learned to play football in Germany.
They can shoot him down again, but nobody can take that away from him.

Hargreaves was playing well for Bayern and was winning prize after prize in Barvaria. Sven seen Lampard and Gerrard week after week in the Premiership and they were his automatic starters. Hargreaves had cameos, usually in positions that were not natural to him like fullback.
The moment we put him in his natural position he emulates his Bayern form. I think he is class, but not worth £20 million. He is certainly Man Utd class though.

Ok TS, what drugs are you on this week?!!!!
We played better than Leverkusen till our second goal, OH did play well but fuck off. After Zizou's goal we allowed them to come onto us, but luckily we had Iker Casillas in goal

Wasn't really the point of this thread though. All Deiser does is, pick random german player >> pick random english/dutch player.
Its getting pretty boring.

I think Deisler replied to chrissi's posting, when he suggested that Hargreaves should have played for Germany instead. He meant that we have Frings already, who is better than Hargreaves.
That's how I understood it at least.

Yes, I think he would. Bremen don´t want to sell him though, but Frings said recently, he would like to play abroad and that he had offers from other clubs, which he had to think about, because it would probably be his last chance to move abroad considering his age. Latest rumours are Juve, Real and also English clubs. Not sure whether that´s true or whether he just wants more money (which wouldn´t surprise me in Frings case). However Werder Bremen try to extend his contract atm, even though he still has two years left...Rai Krol wrote:chrissicross wrote:Well, two good players are still better than just one though. Would Frings be a better signing for Manchester United, not that Bremen would sell.
