Do you think the level of competition to get into the English team even compares to the competition to get into the Brazilian team?

It has taken England years to produce a player that can show some flashes of brilliance and is skilled enough to drill through players.

There's always been a theory between some United fans that they neither perform at the same time. Normally one has a great game and the other is quiet. It's only the FA cup final vs Arsenal that they were both incredible.

Mancini scores a goal people will never forget in the KO stages away to a team who haven't lost a home CL game in years.

Rooney hasn't scored in KO phases (to be fair he didn't even get there last year).

One goal in the latter stages of a competition does not make one player better than another - its a ridiculius arguement - sometimes a player can score a tap in...

Sure it was a great goal on the eyes, terribly defended though - he was watching Mancini's legs rather than the ball and thats schoolboy

Re the Rooney v Mancini comparison - its not really a good comparison as they play different positions, what I will say though is that Mancini isn't better than Rooney, which is what you're implying and with no real justification.

And its undeniable that utd have some truly top class players and Rooney is certainly one of them. By his stanards he's had a poor season yet he has been a vital part of Utds success this season in terms of both goals and assists

I remember Moratti had once publically stated that he would break all transfer fee and salary records if Totti even considered leaving Roma. To which Berlusconi and Moggi had responded that they will pay even more. If Totti wanted to move, he could ve got a blank cheque. Now its too late anyways.
