    Nope, why would he ?

    He's done nothing wrong ok

He was special guest at de Graafschap's champion's match and they let *him* hand out the prize for winning our 2nd league.

That's what I call proper respect for this LEGEND of a manager Ale

But who is Lahm up against? There aren't really any stand out left backs in the world at present wheareas there are plenty of stand out attacking midfielders

Lahm is a Zambrotta type of fullback, he can play on both sides. He deserves to be nominated, of course, if in form. This season, especially the first half, was rather disappointing for him, and he did not set the world alight for die Mannschaft either. That's all I'm saying.

Ballack is a central midfielder in the best sense. He can play AM, but he can play DM as well, he is very versatile. In die Mannschaft, he plays in a double pivot system with Frings, they have each others backs if one of them moves forward. Some of his best matches were in the deep lying playmaker role for Leverkusen, so you can't actually call him an attacking midfielder, he is more than that.

I must say the churlish attitude of Hiddink after that loss was very unprofessional.

Lippi would never have reacted like that.

only TS mentioned Ibra. He was supposed to be one of the key players for Inter this year. And even Villa gets in front of him?

I am surprised two posters (john and toon) have included Rooney, as I didnt think that many non English posters rated him. As a united fan I probably wouldnt include Rooney yet, as he still needs to develop as a player. I think he definately has the potential to be included in a world class squad.

    My squad is

    GK Buffon, Cech, Cassillas
    CB Terry, Nesta, Cannavaro, Chivu
FB Alves, Zambrotta, J. Zanetti, Lahm
M Ronaldinho, Kaka, C. Ronaldo, Pirlo, Essien, Cambiasso
F Messi, Toni, Eto'o, Totti, Ibrahimovic, Villa

It was very tough leaving out the likes of Henry, Gattuso, Gallas, Gerrard and Puyol.
