Hasn't made huge waves in either the Premiership or the Champions League but Denilson has made a good impression since coming over from Sao Paulo in the Summer. He has shown very good potential after spending the first 5 months in th reserves getting used to the English game.

Mascherano wasn't given a chance at West Ham, but at Liverpool, 9/10 (But then, he's only played 2 or 3 games)

Not exactly South American, but Pavel Pardo (Mexican, playing for Stuttgart) has impressed me this season. His first season in a very different league and country, with a different mentality, and he is already one of the important players for Stuttgart, first XI player in one of their best seasons for years.

I really don't think this is the best South American signing, but he might be in a few years, Juan Pablo PINO (Colombia). He plays winger for AS Monaco FC and for the Colombia national football team. He is seen as the most promising young Colombian player. Although, he has recently joined AS Monaco FC for 4 years, and can't see him stay there unless they improve the quality of their football. 6.5/10

Lyon also completed the signing from South America with the Brazilian midfielder Fabio Santos from brazilian club Cruzeiro for 4 million Euros. He played a few promising games straight after he arrived then nada, disappeared. 3/10

Didn't know they just signed him this season. But I agree, for a young (I think he's only 21) left-back he's been very very good, and takes penalties too.

Alecsandro and Fábio Santos are awful.
Brazilian football is missing good young players right now, Lucas and Pato are the only good prospects.

Aguero... He may not have set La Liga alight yet but he is only 18... By the time he is 21 he will be a superstar, but not for atletico!

Mascherano, Tevez.

@Sheva and Todo:
Sporting usually buys a lot from Brazil, but hardly hot prospects. Usually we buy good players at a free transfer or cheap prices. Competent players, usually at 24-26, that add value to a squad. Like Rogério, Liedson, Polga, Tinga, ... most of the cases its Scolari giving the tips.
I hope those kind of playes are still around!!! Enough of Alecsandros!!!!

He has disappointed so far to be honest.. brilliant sometimes but most of the time completely anonymous.. But as you say he is still young.
But I would never consider him a top signing based on his first season.
Still he is available for about €30 million if anybody is willing to bet that kind of cash...

Trust me... you put Aguero in an decent attacking team and let him have some freedom and he will be amazing. Too often at Atletico he is the target man (so to speak, the furthest forward) whilst torres plays deeper trying to link the play. Atli would have a lot more sucsess if they switched this but i guess torres gets what he wants.
id love Chelsea to buy him but that aint going to happen while jose is in charge.
