Malouda is a very good player, unfortunately he choses the games he really want to play. Thus, he can be transparent against a little team and play the next game against Marseille and play brilliantly. If he leaves, which is almost sure, he'll go to Manchester United. He could be a good replacement for Giggs

You're right though, they should carry on this policy as they ahve uncoved some real gems in the past. Fred is a brilliant forward and will continue to improve IMO.
