There was just an interview with HSV's manager Dietmar Beiersdorfer on TV. It seems the main reason why they sold Boulahrouz was that his injury before the CL qualification match against Osasuna was only simulated by him. (Chelsea only wanted a player who was still allowed to play for them in the CL...)

Needless to say this match against Osasuna was probably the most important match in the newer history of the HSV...

Indeed. Those things happen... Boulahrouz is not the first and he won't be the last, but I don't like it and to answer your question, I wouldn't have done the same. You can call me hypocritical now if you like...
