Surely «Europes best striker» is very clinical with his finishing. Must be impossible for him to be more clinical.

Bellamy is only out a week I think, Even if he is back I think we will play 1 up front away maybe Crouch and then Crouch and Kuyt at home

I don't give bellamy much chance of being involved in either of the games. chelsea don't leave enough space for him to be useful

for the first leg anyway I can see rafa going with

    .................reina

    finnan....carra.....agger....riise

    pennant..masch..xabi......gonzalez
    ...................gerrard
    .................crouchinho

i would be happy enough that this would have the best chance at restricting chelsea and posing a sustained threat.

thankfully our squad is good enough now that any team he puts out is going to be great which we could not say with the win two years ago

Only problem there would be Gonzales IMO, I know in recent weeks he's improved but is this too much of a risk? He could play Riise there with Arbeloa left back, that's the only other option

with one up front you need wingers. Rafa trusts this as well as plays it on quite a few occasions.

arbeloa played left back to combat messi which is why rafa played so defensive on the left side. he'll realise that chelsea don't pose a threat down the wings so will surely give us an attacking winger instead.

this game will give us our first indication of who rafa thinks is first choice between mascherano and momo. I think it's obvious who most of us prefer...... although saying that momo has been pwning the chelsea midfield for years now. tough decision but great options to have

ok I can't make my mind up, I really like both players, I think sissoko has had a dip in form that's obvious, is it a coincidence that it's happened just as Mascherano joined?, the main problem I have with Sissoko at the moment is he's trying too hard almost, you want him to tackle (which he does superbly) then look up and play a simple pass, instead he seems to be trying tricks or impossible passes that aren't coming off.

With Masch he seems to have the lot at the moment, he can tackle well, he can pass well and he has a great sense of calm about him, at the moment in terms of who can we rely on more it's surely Mascherano, having said that if Sissoko can get back to his real form then I wouldn't like to be in Benitez's shoes when he's picking the 11 starters!

Ive got bad vibes about the game. chelsea are surely due a good run in this comp and joe cole makes a big difference. lets just hope jose keeps him on the bench and uses his 4 man diamond with ballack and flump instead Smile

we've got exactly the team to cause chelsea a hell of a lot of trouble though so ill go into the games confident

William Hill are offering 1000/1 to anyone who believes that Liverpool will win this season's Champions League on a penalty shoot-out against AC Milan after a 3-3 draw in the final in Athens.

A rematch of the 2005 final remains on the cards after this week's quarter-finals and Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "We have already taken a string of small money wagers at that price and anticipate being well and truly Istanbulled should lightning strike twice,"

    not for me

that roma match is deceptive and just downright weird. they had some very average players playing that night so one performance doesn't suddenly transform them into superstars. it was just a strange game of football that nobody could predict or explain

I like the way your midfield matches up against carrick and scholes and surely ancelotti will be able to come up with a plan that actually involves defending, unlike spaletti.

having the first leg at OT is also a positive because it will naturally make united a bit more cautious than they would be playing at OT second.

the game is 50/50 for me
