How wasn't it a dive? There was no contact on his foot, he just lost his stride and hence his balance and then when he miscued his kick he turns to the ref to appeal.

Excluding 1 or 2 neat little moves, what a sh*t performance this has been from Gerrard!

It was a classic tangle over yourself one for sure.

He did make a few good passes midway through the 1st half.

I don't think there was contact but Gerrard tried to avoid him whichput him off balance. If it was a dive why did he try to make the shot? He could of just dived straight away.

Then ask yourself why did he appeal for the penalty?

Almost all his long range passes have gone out of play/gone to Sheff Utd.

He's been disposessed on the ball 2 or 3 times.

No, he wanted to see if he could score first.

Then he turned to appeal.

He perhaps wanted the referee to tie his shoes so he wouldnt fall over again.

He has too many imo, to be considered 'world class'.

I mean, in all honesty, I think I can count on one hand how many 'great' games he's had for England (I'm not saying Lampard's had more, but the hype Gerrard gets is ridiculous)

For Liverpool today, excluding a couple of neat little moves, he's done f*ck all imo.

So much so he was able to get a shot out of the way.

There was no contact (whether or not he put him out of his stride).

No contact = no penalty
