GOODBYE, MY FRIENDS!

Tomorrow morning, i leave for home for a couple of weeks.

It is possible i may not be returning to England, i have finished my degree and may be settling down in a small town outside Milan possibly to help my parents run a hotel, we are not sure yet, they are going also for a meeting with our friends who run the hotel, they are retiring and have asked us to take over.

I thank you for the wonderful times and memories i have of 606 and these various EuroBoards, i'm not sure if i will have time to post for a very long time what with holiday and then i will have to get a job and obviously i will be tied to that and not be able to post.

This has come completely by surprise for me, i dod not expect to be going on holiday to discuss business but i do hope to post again as soon as possible, but i think it could be some time, and you probably will have moved boards again by then

Anyway, take care to you all, and thanks!!!!

I hope you will welcome me back if i do return, i promise to post less threads

My sentiments exactly. Will be sad to see one of the Serie A regular's here go, but atleast you'll be able to see Milan more regularly.

I'm not too bad. Gutted about the lack of a result today and once again apprehensive about a tough mid week game. I don't like the fact that we've given ourselves ground to make up on the rest after just one game, but I remain fairly confident.

It seems our market hinges on the result. It is rumooured that our targets without Champions League are:

Oddo, Sobis, Iaquinta and maybe Amelia/Buffon.

With Champions League the situation may be:

The 3 above + Tevez and maybe even Gallas.

We must get an early goal in Belgrade. That is key.

As for Liverpool...early days yet...Arsenal drew also...Pennant should be a great signing for you guys...good width.

Oddo will be a good buy. It's his natural game to push on and give width so you couldn't have found a much better Cafu replacement. Amelia or Buffon too would be great, obviously, as would Gallas.

Pennant is a decent buy, he's another option to have in the squad, more than the first team. I think our key signing for this season was made in January - obviously we've bought alot of important players, but if we can get Daniel Agger into the first team as a regular before October then we'll have successfully evolved our defence without any major hiccups which most teams suffer. Let's hope that works out.

Like you, I'm hoping for an early goal on Tuesday for us. 3-1 on aggregate, plus the away goal, should kill off the game. And, unlike last year, we have the pace to pick them off on the break.

I'm still apprehensive though. Not very confident at all about it.
