Angry Milan fan puts keeper Dida up for sale

ROME, April 27 (Reuters) - An angry AC Milan fan put Brazil goalkeeper Dida up for sale on the internet ahead of next week's Champions League semi-final return with Manchester United.


The 33-year-old, who joined Milan in 2000, was a hero after the shootout win over Juventus in the 2003 Champions League final but his popularity has slumped after a series of errors.

He was criticised following last week's 3-2 first-leg defeat to United at Old Trafford, when he flapped a Cristiano Ronaldo header into his own net and then left his near post exposed for Wayne Rooney to blast home a stoppage-time winner.

Dida failed to attract great interest on eBay. The price, before the Brazilian international was removed from the auction site on Friday, had reached 71 euros ($96.66) after 25 bids.

he loses his concentration and it not like this was the first time it happened , its not like it was the first time it happened in the cl alone. he played piss poor against munich

however he did give a brilliant ball to kaka for the second goal

Thats bit of an exaggeration. Dida has made a few glaring mistakes this season... quite frankly, I never though he was Milan quality, just like I don't think Cesar is Inter quality (even tho he has had a good season). But Dida has had a few great seasons, including the CL winning season. Saying that James is better is a bit over the top. You can compare Dida to Barthez tho.

I always thought Abbiatti was better than Dida tho, I dunno why Milan let him go....

i dislike dida but to compare him to barthez is a bit much and a bit harsh. i think comparing him to james is about the same. i mean james just set a premiership record of cleansheets didnt he?

Damn, I wish someone would buy him!

Instead just get rid of Kalac and Storari, and keep Dida as an experienced backup. The first two are even worse than Dida since they don't even have experience in their favour.
