Will be veeery interesting to see how they respond against Betis on Sunday - the Sevillan's will fancy their chances now! Incredible. 2 goals needed, 5 minutes left.

Yeah but it's been ages since Betis won a match. I'd be delighted if they took some of the points though.

Getafe está de fiesta. La noche getafense va a ser de aúpa..

Great night in store for them. This is huge. I'm sure they will get a following in the Bernabeu over double their average attendance - seeing as its on the doorstep!

Thats it. A classic cup match!

16 goals over four matches in the copa semis. And average of 4 per match. That is football at its best - and La Liga at its best.

Credit to Getafe - hope they give Sevilla a game next month.

Maybe now the club will realise that we need to sign quite a few players in the summer. It's the only positive point from tonight.

I don't think it's a wake up call as there have been quite a few already and the team is still "sleeping". Now there will be real fear about fucking up the league.

Cant believe i'm gonna say this but this is probably bad news for us seeing as Barça players have there pride hurt and will most definitely be highly motivated for the Betis game.

BTW: Edmilson makes R.Bravo look good !

I'm not so sure. It could go the other way and demoralise them from here. I think we could see a game with them playing poorly but winning on Sunday, like so many others this season.

I can't see Real having any trouble against Espanyol, but we shall see.

I used to rate Edmilson - thought he was an improvment on Marquez - but have to say his performances have gone downhill. His mind is obviously elsewhere in Europe.

Edmilson was very weak today, they are really digging into him on the radio, best Barça player of the night was Jorquera ... says it all really.

Not really. The same was said after we got smashed by Sevilla in the SuperCup,lost the Club World Championship, the 3-1 at the hands of Espanyol and going out of the CL. This "wake up call" is bollocks, doesn't work for Barça this season.

The players aren't motivated and Rijkaard doesn't seem to be able to change that. Apart from that he hasn't made a sub/tactical change that has won us a game this season. Last season we used to come back after going down but that was thanks to the players and not Rijkaard.

Don't know what we should do but something big has to be done this summer if we want to do well next season.

I bet the 150,000+ members aren't too happy today.

Start with changing the coach I think....I really really hate to say this but you can't help but be struck by the difference between Chelsea and us - they went down fighting, we are continually shooting ourselves in the foot and no-one is leading.

Maybe we could get a better assistant manager. We definately need quite a few new players and have to chuck out the rubbish ones like Edmilson,Belletti,Motta etc.. and somehow motivate others like Deco and Ronaldinho. Let's hope Laporta and company spend some money this summer.

I didn't watch the game but the result speaks for itself. It's quite funny if you think about it, a club that won the league & CL last seaason and are still top of the league f@ck up a 3 goal advantage Laughing

trust me they want because laudrup will be in charge and prepare for a attack on the title Cool anyway great result by getafe. im not to bothered with the effects of it. the bad thing about this is that now the madrid press will go in overdrive and maybe even the homepage SPORT.es will go after them.
but unless the people at the stadium starts going against them then i dont think it will mean much.
