Out of the kids who have travelled, Maaroufi & Filkor are promising. Some of our primavera prodigies have already been loaned/co-owned out (Ribas, Andreolli, Acquafresca, etc) while Slavkovski is injured.

Without Zanetti, Cambiasso, Burdisso, Maicon, Crespo, Chivu, Vieira, & Cordoba. A lot of first teamers are missing, mostly due to Copa America.

Still some very big names in that squad though, which of the younger players have the best chance of making the first team in the future?

Sure you can be a professional athlete and the size of Jean-Claude if you're a female German shot put champion called Heidi Munster!!

Jean-Claude, Jean-Claude, Jean-Claude, Jean-Claude whose cattle farm have you been eating?

Is this photo legit? I can't believe Rangers playing someone in that kind of shape. Rangers are known worldwide, they're no pub team in my view. I can't believe this. I'm in much better shape, and I'm retired. Maybe I should go for a tryout at Rangers. scratch

    Puro,

I think it is legitimate. It appears to have been taken from a Scottish media website. Have a look below.

As I said, has anybody ever seen a heftier professional footballer than Darcheville?

Edit - Click on this week on the top RHS. Go to page six (of ten) and look for picture number 266.

    Picture ID is #263199

Can't really believe how big he is myself!!

If Ajax had beaten Barcelona in preseason , people would say its just a 'pre-season' game.

I don't care much about the result , next week the team will pick up (they must) , Amsterdam tourney then the Champions League qualifiers.

That first goal by Raul is the type of goal he'll be remembered for when he retires. Lost number of times he does a cutback or rounds the defender/keeper.

Congrats, Calidad. Hibs are doing well pre-season. I love Collins' attitude towards the sport. He's a dedicated athlete. Did you hear the rumour that he challenged Kevin Thomson to a sit-up challenge (as he felt he was the fittest squad member) and beat him easily?

I think you've got a great coach. ok

    Re Falkirk - Ajax,

Falkirk impressed me at times last year. John Hughes seems to squeeze big performances out of decent players. Another manager to keep an eye on.

Maaroufi is a good young player - i was there on his first-team debut incidentally and he was pretty impressive then and has been impressive in subsequent matches too.

I've heard a lot of good things about Slavkovski as well, who has scored many in training games and the like or so i've heard

In the Moscow Tournament, Milan and PSV faced another. PSV had makeshift team, milan all their stars. Aissatti still showing his class and Pirlo hit the bar.
    Ended 0-0

So it went to penalties. Seedorf took the last one for Milan and conforming to tradition he missed that one as well, so PSV go to the final.

Anyone watching the game from the COM? 1-0 Valencia ATM after a goal from David Silva. City have hit the bar a couple of times, but in general los che have really controlled the match with the type of passing that we saw against Inter in the Emirates Cup. Gavilan looks awesome! Could be a surprise player to look out for in La Liga next season.

    Where are you watching it?

As for Gavilan I was expecting a good season from him. It's unlikely he'll be first choice, but his talent is obvious.

No, sorry I don't know when Miguel is back. I'm not even sure why he isn't playing? I think he was injured at the tail-end of last season, but I wasn't aware that it was a serious one...
