Pre-season Friendlies thread

Last night went to see Sevilla v Vitoria Setubal in Marbella, it was a 1-1 draw, with the Portuguese having a perfectly valid goal disallowed 7 minutes from time.

What Sevilla side was playing Frank? They seem to have had a really $h!t pre season so far from what I have heard, and not against strong sides.

1st Half De Sanctis, Daniel, Boulahrouz, Dragutinovic, Puerta; De Mul, Martí, Maresca, Adriano; Alfaro y Luis Fabiano.

2nd half Palop; Hinkel, Fazio, Crespo, Duda; Navas, Poulsen, Keita, Capel; Renato y Kerzhakov.

They weren't very good tbh

Murcia beat Anderlecht 6-0 last night! This team has strengthened so well in the transfer window, as well as keeping influential players like Ivan Alonso, who bagged himself a brace last night. Levante were the big movers of the promoted teams last season, and it paid off, just. Hope things work out for Murcia as well, I would be surprised to see them relegated myself.

Pablo Garcia, Baiano, Kike De Lucas (former Chelsea player).

Guardado from what I've heard has impressed. He can dribble and cross and has one hell of a shot.

BTW Deportivo are through to the final of the Teresa Herrera they beat Atalanta 7-6 on pens after a 1-1 draw.

Tonight the Real-Os Belenneses game is on, as is the City of Vigo trophy between Celta-Atletico

As Samba says, Pablo Garcia, he is the huge one, such a huge presence to have in the side. Mejia has also joined from Madrid and Baiano from Celta. Goitom joined from Ciudad Murica, a class act in the segunda, will be interesting to see whether he can adapt to the change in standard, perhaps the equivalent to Nugent in the Championship making the step up this season. Two Valencia players have joined in the form of full back Curro Torres and attacking midfielder Regueiro, the later should cause plenty of trouble for Liga defences. Arzo from Villarreal also.....

So a large amount of transfers have been made, certainly the most impressive of the three promoted clubs, although slowly but surely, Almeria and Valladolid are putting together squads capable of staying up.

Goat, the link to Marca's altas y bajas page, which lists all transfers as well as an interest column, players in bold have recently been transfered or a club has shown new interest in them.

I'm definitely impressed by Murcia's signings. Never realised Baiano got 15 for Celta last year...I think his goals may keep Murcia up this season.
