Most likely transfers this summer Empty Most likely transfers this summer

Post by Forza Italia!Forza Milan! Tue May 15, 2007 7:26 pm

Here is a set of possible transfers. I have included what I think to be the probability of those transfers.

    1) Adriano to Real Madrid- (40%)
L’imperatore has been a more case of the Emperor’s new clothes than the player who tore apart Valencia two years ago. Moody and hardly a teetotaller, will he move to Real?

    2) Hargreaves to Man U- (90%)
A definite possibility. I have always thought that Hargreaves is a shade overrated, but he will definitely bring that bite in midfield for Man U. Even if Bayern have raised their asking price, this will probably happen.

    3) Zambrotta to Milan- (50%)
He has had a tepid reception, it seems, in Catalonia, largely due to his far from sterling form. Will he leave to Milan?

    4) Buffon to Milan- (70%)
The man admitted himself that he was going to sign with the Rossoneri, but after Calciopoli he decided to stay in Turin. Will he now make the move over? I think there is a very good chance he will.

    5) Buffon to Inter- (35%)
Inter fans love him, but will Buffon ever move to Inter after the less than congenial relationship between the two clubs? I think not.

    6) Messi to Inter- (15%)
I really don’t see this happening.

    7) Ronaldinho to Milan- (35%)
I think the Brazilian will most probably stay in Barcelona.

    8 ) Kaka to Real Madrid- (20%)
Highly unlikely given recent events. Milan won’t let him go.

    9) Eto’o to Milan- (45%)
Seems like a long shot but could happen, in my opinion.

    10) Shevchenko to Milan- (50%)
    Galliani’s overtures+gushing at San Siro – (overbearing wife’s insistence+Roman’s fondness) = Sheva?

    11) Klose to Bayern- (30%)
Maybe German friends can fill us in, but is this a good possibility? Bayern aren’t in the CL.

    12) Toni to Bayern- (45%)
A little perplexing. Will he leave Fiorentina, who aren’t in the CL, to go to a club who aren’t either?

    13) Deco to Inter- (35%)
Bluenine, can he be the man to replace Figo.

    14) Ibrahimovic to Real- (20%)
Really unlikely that this will happen.

    15) Chivu to Barcelona- (35%)
    Maybe.

Feel free to add to the list.

    hehhe...

Should be read as if Buffon leaves Juventus he is 70% likely to go to Milan, and 35% likely to go to Juve.

I think the chances significantly diminished after Bayern failed to make CL.

I could be wrong, but no deal was ever done, though even Italian publications made it seem like there was.

All of a sudden, however, all publications are quiet about the transfer.

Given the season that RVN is having and the fact that Soldado has demonstrated his goal scoring ability while on loan at Osasuna, I don't think we will be in the market for a centre forward. We have more pressing needs such as help on both wings and in defense.

That said, we might take Adriano if Inter want to swap him for Paco Pavon.

but how sensible are the people in the club. adriano instead of needed players is not logic but it could still happen. i can see calderon going for a big player.

Here in Germany nothing is official as well yet, and after it was clear Bayern wouldn´t make the CL it was quiet for some time, but meanwhile it seems to be certain for everyone again Toni will move to Bayern this summer. Well, two more weeks until Bayern will make their new signings for the summer finally official...

First, Adriano is not a big player. Second, I think Calderon will probably at least make an effort to sign C. Ronaldo or Kaka, even though logic tells everyone that his attempts will be futile. Calderon did a very good job of bring the players that Capello requested last year so I don't see why he won't try to work with the the manager and Pedja to address the needs of the squad. We've already (supposedly) tied up Metzelder which is a very sensible recruit.

he will work with the manager but he will prob also try to make his own signing. and i think adriano is a big player. and the rumors about adriano was just that calderon wanted him. im sure that if calderon wants him its not because of how usefull he would be but that he is still a star or at least someone who can very quickly become one.

He is no longer a star name, maybe two years ago but I don't think anyone will pat Calderon on the back if he brings us Adriano. His allure has really faded. I think he will make a semi-serious bid to get C. Ronaldo but eventually settle on Quaresma or Ribery for the right wing.

if calderon is after adriano then it is very likely that he sees that potential star in him. and adriano can very fast become of the best players in the world. in terms of marketing its a smart move. just depends on how realible the rumors are.

Adriano is not a high profile player, he had one good season and since then he has been rubbish. He has scored 6 league goals all season playing for the best team in the league. He also has a terrible resolve, Madrid hungry players with desire, not an overrated diva.

I dont think there is a player who has fallen so quickly in value (Riquelme maybe). Imagine if Chelsea or Real paid the £45m asking price of 2 years ago. I cant think of a top club, who would buy him.

I agree. After Calciopoli, Buffon will never go to Inter, I don't think. How likely do you think it is that he will go to Milan?

He is really adamant about Juve having a competitive team. With 70 mill that shouldn't be a huge problem, even if attracting players will be hard without CL.

I think there are all the signs possible that suggest that he will move to Milan at the end of the season. It's becoming hard to imagine that he will stay back at the end of the season...with the kind of statements he is giving out to the press.
The only hope, though distant, is if Juve are able to put together a competitive squad...probably get 2-3 world class players to join
