Team of the Year

This may be an effort. Factor in domestic for and European form - what would be your European team of the year?

Too dificult and not enough motivation to try, but i agree with most barring Alves for Miguel. Yes the team is built around him, yes he is not as good defensively but these teams are less about tactical sense and more about who's made the biggest contribution.

ahh Cr@p! how did I forget Alves

Goalkeeper is too difficult. Cech missed half the season, Buffon has been in Seria B, Reina was good in the Champions league but average in the Premier League, Casillas has conceded loads even though he's been good on his own, Van Der Sar was having a great season until March.

As for the rest mine I agree with most of your's apart from Nesta and Carvahilo at centre back & Scholes very close with Iniesta.

But enough that'd be hard to consider Casillas even though he's been good.

No keeper stood out for me this season, so I give him the spot out of sympathy for his injury....and because I do think he's the best one out there.

Cech shouldn't make the team. He missed half the season.

i understand why you pick valdes but this is a bit too much. and valencia,sevilla has a better defence then you do. because you have conceeded the second least amount of goals doesnt mean you have the second best defence.

Seen very little of Ibra & Diego but according to our Italian & German counterparts they have been very good. Not seen much of Abidal either, but everyone else has put him, and I can't think of any other outstanding LB's this year.

Yea was a tough one, but I went for Alvez because he's scored more goals, and to also get some Dutch respresentation
