And having seen both Afonso Alves and Drogba this season, I'd go with A. Alves. Yes, he's that f*cking good.

Drogba always seem to make defenders lives difficult; Afonso Alves always looks like scoring. And does.
Every type of goal imaginable: pace, precision, hard shot, curving set pieces, poaching, heading, trick shots, the whole works. I haven't seen a type of goal that that man is not capable of.

Can you see Alfonso Alves staying? what kind of offer would tempt him away?

In a funny way the man reminds me alot of Micheal Jordan - intense and dignified.

Reportedly, everyone and their dog has come to see him. Some of the bigger clubs have feigned disinterest: Piet Visser (major scout) of Chelsea has said that he's not Chelsea material, but that's just bollocks.
Its like watching Maradona, Romario or Ronaldo in their prime and saying "mweh, he's not good enough".
Not believable.


As for staying, I find it very hard for him to stay at Heerenveen. It really is up to him. Otherwise, expect him only at the very biggest clubs next season, but it would be absolutely criminal to not make him your first striker.

Same goes for Alex, criminal to not have him as your starting CB.

Alex is truly WC, and Alves is on the cusp of arguably, but needs another season to establish him. Best secret in Europe.

He's bound to go at the top clubs only:
ManU: He's better than Rooney and Saha
Liverpool: better than anyone there
Chelsea: Different to Drogba but better goalscorer than anyone there.
Arsenal: I'd say better than Henry.
Bayern and Werder: better than anything they have
Barcelona: difficult to compare as Eto'o is WC, but if they sold Eto'o, Alves is the man to get.
Real Madrid: better than Raul, but don't know if better poacher than RVN. Perhaps, but not likely as RVN is the best paocher in the world.
Lyon: way better than anyone there
Inter: difficult, do they really need another striker?
AC Milan: top dog there, better than anyone there (Gila) including fat Ronaldo. Inzaghi might be the better poacher.
Juventus: better than Trez for sure

So you see, at the top clubs he can easily go, but shouldn't sit on the bench IMO. Worst club for him is Chelsea, as they can afford him, and make him sit on the bench while Drogba (who has earned his starter place), and Sheva go through the motions.

He's too expensive for Ajax and PSV.

Nah.

I think I've seen Alves, Huntelaar, Malouda, Ribery & Berbatov compilations in the last week and all of them have in the comments - 'coming to MU' or 'coming to xxxx'.
