Not as confirmed as the article implies. It just says 'a close source to the club has stated'
Good buy if they get him. Means that we weren't after him then which leaves me bemused as to who Wenger wants

Last season, after the World Cup, Marseille were asking around £18 million for him.
To sell him for 15 millions euros a year later seems strange.

I know you should never judge anyone on a youtube compilation but this makes him look better than Zidane.

But Marseille have qualified for the Champions League now.
Maybe his bad form has put off Wenger in making a bid.

He was injuried this year. I don't know many players who had a good season after the world cup.

Yet this is still the daddy of all football compilations.

That's not a cue to just put up a comp of your fav player - regardless of who you like this is the best compilation in terms of quality.

I wasn't meaning that in terms of the quality of the football. I meant it in terms of the quality of the video editing, the music and the story it told - it holds the best goal back until the 6th minute - usually the urge is to put the best stuff around a quarter of the way in.
And the clips from movies in it adds to the drama

I don't think he'll go to Munich for 10 millions pounds. First of all he stated several times that he wanted to play the champions league, and if he stays at Marseille he'll guarantied that. Another thing is the price offered, I would think with a president like Diouf who's pretty much straightforward and tough in business, that the price would be high then diminished. However I don't know what is in the president's mind. Will he sell him at this particular price to buy Cisse as well as a decent midfield in France (Bodmer, Keita or Ziani)?

Well, while it's a bit crass, it's very well produced.
The only thing is with that level of editing the source material could have been flamenco dancers, harlem globetrotters or breakdance performers aswell. =)
For most of the time you don't get a clue of what's going on in terms of footballing.

Only Bayern Have Made Ribery Offer, Reveal Marseille
Marseille have revealed that there have been no bids from Arsenal or Real Madrid for the French winger.
Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Real Madrid are the three clubs that are supposedly chasing Franck Ribery at the moment, but the latter two have yet to make an offer.
Marseille president Pap Diouf revealed as much: "The only concrete offer for Ribery is that of Bayern Munich."
He also revealed that Bayern were offering 20 million euros for the player, while Marseille want 25.
There is another problem, in that Ribery has refused to move to Germany, and is urging Marseille to negotiate and agree a price with Real Madrid.
Said Jean Pier Bernès, on for Ribery's advisors: "Ribery does not want to play at Bayern.
"He likes Spain, but their is no offer yet from a Spanish team.
"Yes, Real Madrid representatives have been turning up to see his performances, but they have never made an offer."
Arsenal, meanwhile, are unwilling to offer more than 15 million euros, and are waiting for Marseille to lower their price before making an official approach.
It is a strange situation, with Ribery having turned down the only club who have backed up their interest with an offer. This saga is set to run for a while yet!

Trying to drive up the price. According to L'Equipe Ribery is expected for his medical check in Munich on Thursday.
I read somewhere that those advisors are a bit shady and have too much control over Ribery. Looks like that might be true.

The deal is almost complete.
Bayern Munich president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says he is confident of signing France international Franck Ribery.
The Germany legend insists the Bavarian giants are close to reaching an agreement for the 24-year-old Marseille star.
Rummenigge claims Bayern have agreed a fee for Ribery, who last week rubbished rumours he was on the verge of joining Real Madrid.
"We are not far from total agreement," Rummenigge told the German press.
"We have come to a financial agreement with Marseille."
Bayern would use a slice of the €25million they earned from Manchester United for the transfer of Owen Hargreaves to fund any deal for Ribery.
However, Marseille supremo Pape Diouf remained tight-lipped over whether or not a deal had been done with the Bundesliga side.
Diouf did admit that a mystery English had expressed an interest in the talented playmaker.
"People talked about Real Madrid interest but that club didn't talk to l'OM," said Diouf.
"An English club contacted us but they have asked for their identity to remain undisclosed."
Last week Ribery's agent dismissed talk that a deal between Marseille and Madrid had been reached.
There has even been talk the winger may opt to stay at the Stade Velodrome following I'OM's qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
Ribery was remaining coy on his future saying he was concentrating on France's Euro 2008 qualifiers.
"People are talking about me moving to Bayern Munich or Real Madrid but for the moment I just play for France," Ribery told Telefoot.
"We will see after France's matches. There is no deadline for my transfer."

The English club, coulb be Arsenal?
Bayern would have done very well if they manage to get Ribery and Toni, just from the money they got from Hargreaves.

We didn't you just renew Ze Roberto's contract in the first place?
Is Ribery a done deal, I have not hear or seen anything to suggest that. I read a few days ago that he is unsure about moving to Germany.
