    Better than both of them:

    Francesco Totti
    League: 26 goals ... 11 assists
    Europe: 4 goals ... 3 assists

Total 30 goals and 14 assists!!!

Was also the assist leader in the WC. Also suffered more fouls than anyone else in the CL, Serie A and the World Cup. 36 fouls against him in Cl alone, and his team went out in the quarters - that shows how much he is respected by other teams!!

Very under rated on this board. Twatti as a player is as good as it gets.

Totti is underrated on here. Unfortunately Serie A doesn't get shown much in the UK, so that's bound to happen.

Kaka is overrated on here. He's good, but some seem to think he's a God. Ronnie still has that title. ok

This is CR's best ever season... for Totti, it can be argued... coz totti has had a few seasons at this level... for a player who has played mostly as a midfielder for his club, he has scored 151 goals in 369 Serie A games is unbelievably remarkable. It completely dwarfs Platini's performance in Serie A... hell, it dwarfs anyone else I know... If Totti had played as a striker thru out his career (like he does now), he would have broken all serie A scoring record by now.

If you want an analogy, imagine Ronaldo having a season like this 7-8 times in a row? Thats what Totti has done in Serie A.

The reason why Totti is underrated on this board is that outside Italy his performances (bar euro 2000) are just dire.

Excellent player though, his love for Roma is something special as well. You dont see that alot these days.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to perform like he did this season and improve his European form and keep it consistent .. it will be all about Ronaldo, this season has been the platform to greatness <Ale>

This season he added goals , goals and goals to his CV + plenty of assists , Kaka before this season was a level or two above Ronaldo .. and has a better European Cup track record (which seems to be the difference between the 2 players..at the moment)

Totti out of the 3 .. has a better strike rate , but is far more experienced than the other 2 , which does not belittle his achievement this season which has been nothing short of remarkable.

You have to balance those stats out though. You have to take into account the number of penalties he scored, the number of dives by him and the diving queen Deco which lead to those penalties + dangerous free kicks around the area, and the number of times Ronaldinho scored due to a defender simply being too scared of confronting him after his ugly teeth got so close to their body that they felt they should get out of the way or be eaten by a wild beast.

Then Kaka would easily come out on top Cool

And IMO people don't give players enough credit for sticking away penalties. Just ask England how tough they can be Razz

If we consider penalties easy, then I'd suggest putting a disclaimer next to 90% of Ruud's goals as well, since they're *just* tap-ins.

This season Ronaldo learns how to put the ball in the back of the net and complete a pass and kaka scores a few goals in the CL and they are the best thing since slice bread.Doh
