    Ujfalusi, i like this guy

    i know him from hamburger sv and the czechs

    very good defender, would be a nice partnership with lucio

    personally i would prefer an german defender for bayern, i think thas the best for an team, when you look at all big teams, there is always a defender from the homecountry, i think thats not so unimportant

    why the hell bayern not signed metzelder??

    chelsea= terry
    manu =ferdiannd
    acmilan= maldini, nesta
    barcelona= puyol
    liverpool =carragher
    inter =matarazzi

    Ujfalusi- Hungarian name, Czechs stole him, just like the Germans did to Poldi and made him Cr@p.

    Good player though, worth a gamble, certainly good enough for Bayern currently.

    still cant believe you guys didnt qualify for the CL, thats like Man Utd not doing so in England- almost unheard of

    Come on, Deisler. Bayern can not sign every German talent. You already bought Poldi, then Schlaudraff and now Jansen.

    We only have Merte...but of course he´s the best of them all... Cool

    Marcell Jansen said today in a Sportbild Interview he had offers from Bayern and Barca, but decided to go to Bayern in the end...

    No No No

    Playing for FC Barcelona is a once in a lifetime opportunity, rejecting such an offer is madness imo...

    I think he's exactly the kind of physically strong striker we need. Him plus Klose/Makaay/Poldi will be awesome to watch.

    Can't believe I probably won't get to see much of it. I'm going to the US to study. I'll need somebody to help me understand this whole online watching technology.

    Van Buyten though is not that great - I'd even say that most defensive mistakes are either by him, or because of him.

    What did he do that was so terrible, sorry? Can't be arsed to look it up...

    I always found it pretty irritating, as he must have, thaat Mourinho always preferred to play even a midfielder in defence than him – though given some of his performances when he did play it's hard to argue...

    Was it? The story we know is based on what we saw, i.e. him feigning injury during warm-up so that he wouldn't have to play in the CL qualfier for Hamburg.

    Anyway, this is the Bayern Munich thread, and the cannibal is not a Bayern player (yet).

    I want to say that I'm really impressed with Uli Hoeness' work so far. For all the talk about how they can or will spend 100m Euros, up to now he's only spent about 7.5!

    Toni -11 (!)
    Schlaudraff -1 (clause in his old contract)
    Sosa -10
    Altintop -free
    Jansen -9 (max, transfer fee undisclosed)

    Hargreaves +23,4 (plus future fees in case ManU win titles)

    Overall: about -7.5m

    Salaries I don't include as Bayern pay them from their cash flow every year.

    Bottom line: The 'Festgeldkonto' is still alive. And now that Toni's definitely there it will be easier to lure more inernational talent to Munich. Plus we can pay more, because we saved some money on these five signings.

    Quite brilliant.
