Do you know anything about a limited transferfee (9M) in Babel's contract? (would be amazed if that were true) You read a lot of bs in the silly season on footy forums. Got that from AM.

not sure if it was true , if it was that would limit the clubs chances of 'cashing on him ' if he was to leave , personally he must stay for another season

Don't think Arsenal need him. At the moment he would only be useful as sub for when nothing else works (Arsenal do need more options, but there are others). Needs too much space & time to be a starter. So his much needed development would stall.

I would go for other players.

The only thing I have seen is that Babel has declared his admiration for the manager Arsene Wenger as well as saying he has been an Arsenal fan all his life. I don't think we have made an movements for him at this moment.

I expect a lot from Bendtner next season. I rate him much higher than Ade. I would ditch Ade and get an experienced 30 year old striker who doesn't mind sitting on the bench (but Wenger will not go for that).

Indeed we need far more goalscoring capacity from midfield. I want those 2 wide midfielders and also 1 who can play central who can score.

Danny Koevermans wil weg bij AZ. De spits denkt dat een transfer voor hem het beste is, omdat hij vreest te weinig aan spelen toe te komen, bericht De Telegraaf.
Koevermans staat nog tot de zomer van 2010 onder contract in Alkmaar. Afgelopen seizoen maakte hij 22 doelpunten, waarmee hij topscorer van AZ was in de Eredivisie. Toch kocht de club de Braziliaanse aanvaller Ari, terwijl met Moussa Dembele en Shota Arveladze twee andere voorhoedespelers onder contract staan.

Gezien de concurrentie heeft Koevermans besloten te vertrekken, aldus De Telegraaf. Onlangs zouden Glasgow Rangers en Shakthar Donetsk zich al hebben gemeld, net als een niet nader genoemde Duitse club, terwijl Feyenoord op het punt zou staan binnenkort te informeren naar de 28-jarige Schiedammer. Voor de enkelvoudig international zal AZ echter een flinke vergoeding eisen.

So now Koevermans wants to leave AZ, because he has competition.
Did he expect that there wouldn't be any competition at other clubs? And he was last years topscorer of AZ.

Glasgow Rangers, Shakthar Donetsk and an unnamed German club (Stuttgart? ) have already enquired for his services. While Feyenoord is also interested, AZ will certainly raise the price if teh Rotterdammers want him.

Koevermans is ridicously underrated. The guy needs confidence but he doesn't get it while he was AZ' best striker last year. A guy of his age should play and this might be his last change for a adventure abroad. I wish Koevermans all the best and I totally understand his decision. Atleast he doesn't go for the big bucks and said he doesn't want to go to Saktar Donetsk.

I hope a midtabl/subtop english team comes in or let him go to Stuttgart (or HSV).

Well Koevermans is very decent, but it would be stupid to buy him now, especially we could have got him last year for a penny.

HK-ingurinn Kolbeinn Sigþórsson skrifaði í morgun undir þriggja ára atvinnusamning við hollenska stórliðið AZ Alkmaar. Hann fer alfarinn til Hollands í byrjun júlí og hefur þá æfingar með aðalliði félagsins.

Kolbeinn hefur verið í röðum HK í hálft annað ár en hann kom í ársbyrjun 2006 frá Víkingi R. og var þá í 3. flokki. Kolbeinn spilaði samt fimm leiki með meistaraflokki HK í 1. deildinni síðasta sumar og skoraði eitt mark, auk þess að spila með 2. flokki.

Undanfarna mánuði hafa fjölmörg erlend félög sýnt mikinn áhuga á að fá Kolbein í sínar raðir en hann valdi að lokum Alkmaar eftir að hafa farið þangað tvisvar. Alkmaar varð í öðru sæti hollensku úrvalsdeildarinnar í vetur og lék til úrslita í bikarkeppninni, og þá náði liðið langt í UEFA-bikarnum.
