He choose Heerenveen over Ajax (Ajax put in a a serious offer and PSV also offered him a prolongation).

He's showing a lot of brains by doing this : players *do* improve at Heerenveen, he will play and he'll play at a decent level at minimum presure.

    Ideal to grow.

Smart fellow that Beerens....and a great buy by Heerenveen ok

Does anyone else think it's awfully quiet at Ajax ?

Will they see Perez, Grigera, De Mul, Babel, Sneijder, Maduro and/or Huntelaar leave ?

Will they buy any replacements (bar Bakircioglu) ?

    'Doing a Zlatan'

Telling your own fans a player will stay next season. Find out on the last day of the transferperiod that the player you had lined up to take over from him (Kone) has weird heartproblems.

Wonder who's lined up to take albino 's spot... My money is on Kluivert. Wonder if Ajax' medics will be able to spot something during his medical...

, aldus Babel's zaakwaarnemer.

Aghaa, also known as "doing a Kuyt".

Telling your own fans a player will stay next season. Find out on the last day of the transferperiod that you have no one lined up to replace him, so you pay two times the market value for a flopped player who's warming the bench of your biggest rival.

...sounds like the typical Dutch "selling without looking ahead mentality".

    Ugly indeed.

    Other news:

    De Mul signs for Sevilla.

Koeman not happy with Kone's lack of professionalism.

By the way PSV's first training session was visited by 23 people (8 over 65, 13 grownups & 2 kids) & a dachshund.
