Are we too cocky or too pessimistic?

Think my answer to SGoater's question on how I assess the match isn't that 020-like

Monaco striker Jan Koller is interested in a move to Feyenoord, according to the giant Czech hitman's agent.

Pavel Paska also admitted that the 34-year-old Czech frontman would decide on his future by the start of next week, with a transfer to Germany also an option.

"At the moment nothing is clear," said Paska. "The only thing that is certain is that Jan still has a contract with AS Monaco.

"The coming days we will spend looking at the possibilities. I expect to see Jan decide on Monday or Tuesday whether he stays with Monaco or leaves."

If the player does decide on a change, Paska believes Rotterdam is a possible destination.

"Feyenoord is a big club, a top club," he said. "So for Jan a transfer to there is an interesting option - especially because he knows their coach (Bert van Marwijk) from his spell at Borussia Dortmund.

"But Feyenoord is not the only interested club. Jan can also go back to Germany. So if he chooses to leave AS Monaco, Germany and Holland are the choices."

I think he'd be a good signing for you, with him and Makaay i think you would score tons of goals.

I really dont see the use of Koller to be honest. Yes it will be fun to see him having a battle with his "Small" twinbrother Stam. But thats it. He is too old.

I really hope we sign Samaras.....

Thanx! <Ale> Great result by City too.

When my mate got the news City scored we did a high five (our matches kicked off at the same time), funnily the people around us thought that a goal against PSV had been scored. We could just 'put out the fire' in time before all our awayfans would have gone berzerk, because of the confusion we created. Very Happy

    lol! Nice one mate.

So how did you play, did you dominate throughout ? did you look like a side that can win the league ? 3-0 at Utrecht is a very convincing start, was the atmosphere good ?

The atmosphere was great. Utrecht have a great fanatical homecrowd even when they were 0-2 they kept firing on their team. the atmosphere in the away section was great and turned into completely mental after we scored our second, hardly have any voice left.

Utrecht started a little less agressive than usual. They tend to start like the match duration is only 15 minutes. Before our goal, Utrecht had 2 good chances. Luigi Bruins scored after 25 minutes with a swerving shot after a howler from their keeper. Therafter we more or less controlled the game certainly after our second goal. Assuming we we'll still improve (lots of new players) & we buy 1 or 2 more attacking players (heard today we'll get El Hamdaoui, would be very happy with that, he's nearly RVP class, amazing those stupid Spuds let him go), I think we can challenge for the league title.

Makaay was great (goal & 2 asists) and more involved in combinations. Nicky Hofs, who played really well had a great understaning with him. Gio has a very good influence on everybody & will be a great captain. Our defence isn't the best of the topclubs, bar De Cler (LB) who is class, but our midfield oozes class. Nuri Sahin was a bit pale today, but we also have De Guzman, Bruins, Hofs, all great talents, sometimes they can be a bit too casual though. Gio should keep them focussed.

Sounds great mate. Im glad you won and played well, will signing El Hamdaoui mean you wont buy Koller ?

My voice is fucked as well after shouting all game, our atmosphere was brilliant as well (as it should be for the derby).

Don't know, wouldn't be suprised if we signed 2 more players, say 1 out and out striker (eg Koller) and one who can play wide too (El H). If I could only pick one I'ld go for El H. Don't know what the status is of our talks with Koller, but he scored twice yesterday for Monaco, which isn't good news (might want to keep him or ask more money).

Utrecht are shite with a moderate manager and no penny to spend.... I expect Utrecht to have a very difficult season...

Normally they can compensate the lack of quality with a great fighting spirit (at home) but I even doubt this is enough...!

Crying or Very sad I really hope this is not true!!! I dont want that Luque!!! Poor players, get Pranjic!!!!

He'd want Newcastle wages at Feyennoord too.

Marwijk out if he brings Luque.

Let's hope he goes to Ajax then...they are building a Spanish armada there anyway. He would fit there.

Luque had a great partnership with Makaay in a previous life at La Coruna, but since I haven't got a clue how he's doing & think he still needs a high slalary. I'ld prefer Pranjic & El Hamdaoui.
