Oh yes, would you believe it. The offence that we did caused immense fuss. Especially from one team known as Sheffield United.

However, Sheffield United included an illegal clause in the contract of Steve Kabba...preventing him from playing against them. Due to him being owned by Watford (a transfer not a loan) this clause is not allowed.

    Laugh lol! Laughing

What c**ts eh? all this $h!t and they've done it themselves...utter utter c**ts!

I think they should be docked points themselves now. Not for the clause, but for pushing for "justice" and the fact that they have done the same fucking thing.

Also Dave Whelan's rugby team (Wigan Warriors) were docked points for breaking league rules lol!

See...they are all hypocritical dirty bastards ok

Evertons Tim Howard couldn't play vs. Man Utd despite the transfer being a full one. I could be wrong though and it may have just been a gentlemans agreement.

Sheffield Utd won't be reinstated, the best they can hope for is a cash settlement.

Sheffield United were fucking idiots though, and put the clause in the contract which is not allowed. It is a clause in which a third party has influence (Sheff Utd stopping Watford from playing Kabba). Which is what we were fined £5.5m for.

Watford could also be in $h!t to a lesser extent though...as they also agreed to the contract and clause.

I think he was technically still on loan and the transfer of the registration will only happen this summer with all the details agreed in the January window. If this is not the case then IMO is was 3rd party influence and both teams should be docked points. No such thins as Gentleman's agreements should be allowed to weaken opposition teams.

Third party influence doesn't result in points docking though. That's for registration problems.

    Watford more so apparently.

I don't know why we would be more responsible but if we are docked points and/or fined then I couldn't really have any complaints providing Man Utd are punished similarly re Tim Howard.

Of course, anyone who's watched Steve Kabba will know that the teams that did play against him were the ones at an advantage.

The thing is...Howard's contract didn't have it written into it. MEANING that Everton could have indeed played Howard and Man Utd could have done no more than be angry a verbal agreement was broken.

Sheff Utd are the ones looking like the idiots though, and I don't think anything will happen to Watford. Sheff Utd have breached a more serious rule than Watford. They should be fined £5.5m IMO...

The Tim Howard thing is very different, because he was on loan at Everton all season anyway, and I think EPL rules would therefore have prevented him from playing against Man U for the duration of his loan period. As I remember, the deal to permanently transfer him took place outside the transfer window, so it won't actually go through until this summer, i.e. now.

Maybe there's some clause in loan deals about permanent transfers being able to take place outside of the windows, I dunno. Regardless, Man U tried to get it written into the deal that Howard wouldn't play against them, and the EPL said no, so I can only assume that the gentleman's agreement was then made. Of course, Moyes knew full well that if Man U won the title this season, Everton would get another chunk of money from the Rooney transfer.

    Yup!

The Premier League states that no clause can be written into a contract preventing a transfered player from playing against his former club. Sheff Utd breached this rule (A clause where a third party has influence). Sheff Utd admitted this clause to the Premiership and thought by doing this it was OK.

Basically they thought admitting breaking a rule means they are allowed to do so Laughing Doh

McCabe is now trying to say they have done nothing wrong Doh

    £5.5m fine please Ale

You are right though, Sheffield have well and truly fucked themselves with this one, particularly with the tribunal regarding the Tevez issue taking place tomorrow.

They have been trying to f@ck us over since the day they were relegated. They haven't stopped going on about it, got us fined £5.5m and still carried on. The fact that they have broken the same as us makes me sick at their actions for the past month!

So I don't want it dropped until something is done about them.
