Don't get me wrong Kaka is a brilliant player, and possibly the best in the world but i don't fancy paying our maximum European rivals 80m euros. For 80m euros they could rebuild there entire squad !

At the most if i wanted Kaka that badly id offer Milan some players, Emerson, Cannamalo, Cassano and 20m euros, sounds about fair !

IMO the best thing we could do is "plan B" with the 80m sign 4-5 good players and actually have a great squad so we can compete in all 3 competitions.

I would make just a couple of changes. Granero should be loaned out and in his place, De la Red. Plus I would keep Reyes instead of Malouda. First, I don't think Malouda is that good, and second Lyon would try to rape us again if we try to buy players from them. Just sell Baptista and that can finance the Reyes transfer even if it isn't a direct swap with Arsenal.

with those 4 signings we wouldnt have to make any signings for about 3 season

That squad is perfect. This Kaka thing is just sad, i really hope we don't sign him(it won't happen anyway),but if it did i just get the feeling if we do they will be so much pressure on him to save the whole team it would be ridiculous, you know how excited our press get(AS and Marca).

You'll need someone other than Cannavaro as 4th choice CB. He'll just go to Italy instead.

The 25-year-old former Real Madrid youth team product has signed a contract that will tie him to Osasuna until June 30, 2011, and becomes the UEFA Cup semi-finalists first reinforcement of the summer.

I would have taken Oliveira in December when we were desperate for a striker and had little time to get one, but not anymore. Now we have a lot of better options than Oliveira. I would also take Saviola and Soldado over him at the moment.

Calling Oliveira mediocre is going a bit too far though. The guy did have 2 great seasons with Betis, but his injury really hampered his progress.

No, Oliveira has ONE good season with Betis: 04/05 he scored 23 in 37 league matches. Before and after that he has done nothing. (check out his stats: http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/FootballFicheJoueur10000000000000000000011275.html) I know he had the injury but this year for Milan (completely recovered) he scored only 3 in 26. He is good player for mid-table clubs, but he is not a player for club like Madrid.

Enzo Alan Zidane is playing for and captains Real's junior and scored his first goal yesterday. The 12 year-old has been part of Real's junior setup since 2001 and his progress has coaching staff excited about his prospects.

Real Madrid are weighing up a move for Feyenoord wing-back Roysten Drenthe.

Real had scouts in the stands for last night's U21 European Championship final between Holland and Serbia to watch Drenthe in action.




The left-sided wing-back is seen by Real as a potential replacement for new Fenerbahce signing Roberto Carlos, with the Spanish champs holding concerns over Marcelo's ability to fill the breach next season.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has confirmed that Fernando Hierro is returning to the club in an official capacity.

The former Real captain will join the football staff as a liaison between the players and the board. Also arriving will be Racing Santander coach Miguel Angel Portugal, who will replace Franco Baldini as one of the club's football directors. Baldini is expected to leave Real for a job with Italy's Siena.




"They will help us to reinforce the values of the club that must be impregnated into the players who arrive," declared Calderon yesterday when asked about the appointments of Portugal and Hierro.

that is simply great news. allthough calderon keeps on making bad moves in the public we seem to be heading in the right direction with smart signings like metzelder and shuster coming in. it would be great to have more former madrid men in the clu.

Yep, create a family feeling just like Milan have done at their club, with familiar faces and people who Real Madrid.

Hierro, Portugal and Schuster all know about Real and have been apart of the set up before, they will already know what the bernabeu wants to see, in terms of football.
