Real Madrid Campeones de Liga 2006/2007!!!!!!

I just heard a bit of interesting news on "el rondo" (spanish football show) which could shed some light on why Calderon said he wont make a decision about our new manager till 10-15 days.

Apparently Capello signed a 2+1 year deal with us, the 3rd year being optional. That optional year will only be counted if he stays on for more than 1 season, so we must wait the 10-15 days for by then it will be officially the next season and we chose not to make the 3rd year optional. By doing this we save not paying Capello the 3rd year (5m euros).

Did that make any sense

But we are really slacking in the transfer market because of this, we should have started already.

Yeah i know we are, but then again it would be really stupid signing players without having the managers approval.

We always leave things late, by the time this is sorted out we will have europe's left overs.

btw, don't be fooled by Barça, they are only presenting players to cover up the fact that we done the double over them

100% Agree, that was my point right now its just like we have no manager with all this speculation so we are wasting time.

I hope we drop the interest in Kaka though, it would be pointless waste of time especially if those Plan A and B are true. Whilst we are going for Kaka its plan A when Calderon finally gets the message in late August we will revert to plan B, its ridiculous.

Also hope we sign Diego and Quaresma.

Me too mate, I wish we would forget about Kaka once and for all and go with plan B. Quaresma & Diego would be brilliant. But by the looks of things its Patetico Madrid who have the head-start on signing Quaresma. As for Diego, my fear is that he will have a fantastic copa america which will probably double his price

As for Cesc, does Calderon really think Arsenal would sell him just after selling Henry ! I very much doubt he`d leave this season, we should forget about him too.

I suppose Calderon will have to wait the 15 days because Capello is in Tibet -- doubt that his mobile will get very good reception up there in the mountains!

LSR is right, we always leave things for late (for better or worse). And we've probably tapped up all the players that we want to sign anyhow so it doesn't matter if we don't officially sign them for a few weeks.

I don't think you signing Quaresma would piss us off. It's not as if he did great for us and left against our wishes.

Fucking Calderon. We finally get the chance to start planng a season early and he comes up with this bullshit. In this case then I would just prefer Capello to stay. Ask him which signings he wants and let Pedja go after them NOW.

Apparently we want Schuster to get out of his current contract with Getafe before making a move for him. Looks like the club is pissed off with Angel Torres and doesn't want anymore trouble.

Also Laudrup`s name keeps popping up with more intensity after he`s turned down Recre & Getafe, could be the dark horse.

Laudrup played 3-4-3 at Brondby...it would be interesting to see if he would try to implement the Cruyffian system at Real Madrid.

In any case, this is f***** up because once we get the manager situation straightened out it will be mid-July!

I would have thought that winning the league would bring some serenity to the club but far from it, we seem just as mixed up as before

Very pleased with the design they settled on especially after some of those hideous designs that were floating out there. I'll definitely be purchasing one of those...I wonder if the font will be the same or different from this year?

Shirt prices are ridiculous. Even ours cost 65 euros, and if you want a name and number, it goes up to 85

he tried playing the 4-3-3 and using the 3-4-3 depending on the game but he ended up just using the 4-3-3 and in his last season the 4-4-2. i would be over the hill glad if that we got him. every week when he commentated on our games he always got it spot on meaning:

- no reason to play the double pivot at home
- robinho needs more freedom
- Raul a legend but he should have more of a support role for the others
- Ramos best in right back

and he always pointed out that squad was way to unbalanced with 3 right backs at a point and one right winger. imo he would be like a fan being a coach.

doubt it. they want shuster to get free of his contract himself. i gues it might be because getafe were after us for getting close to shuster. anyway shuster didnt say he wanted to buy schneider but that he was the type of player that we needed. anway i trust him so it wont be bad. allthough i hope for laudrup before him.
