Frankfurt defender Kyrgiakos scores another goal for Greece against Norway. Greece leading 2:1 now.
2 goals for a defender, not bad really. An important match, too.

San Marino have scored one goal in this group, conceded over 40. I don't remember who they scored against. Whoever it was, they should just stop playing football.

Nah, because when none of them make it into Oranje they'll be crying about discrimination.blutgraetsche wrote:Kasachstan - Belgium 2:2 FT
Borat will be proud. Wonder if the Dutchies still want to merge with them...
THeir current crop was even worse than the poor Germans.
THe young ones (trained under Van Gaal) are all quality. They can fight to a Croatia level of resistance in the future. But boy were they dire.

Its only Andorra but his International record is very good. I think that is his ninth so far this campaign. Only Healy beats him.

Finland - Poland 0:0
I guess, it's too little too qualify for Finland, but too much to give up hope. If they hadn't lost 5 points against Armenia and Azerbaijan they would have had a good chance.

Points dropped for Poland, but Finland at home always park the bus, so you need extra quality to create something then or be effoient with set pieces.lionman wrote:FT

Poland are a steaming pile of shite, so if Don Leo manages to get them to the EC he'll have done one hell of a job.

I'll be back in a while for the test match against Romania. Don't expect us to win it with most of our first teamers rested / injured, while Romania supposedly will play a strong team, but the result won't matter anyway, as long as the third choice players play some good football, and increase the pressure on the current squad members. Should be an interesting match regardless.

Romania are on track to qualify from the our group, so don't think that they'll play all of their first teamers.
Plenty will be rested - if they C0ck up, Bulgaria will take the second place.

?
They won't play a qualification match for a month, just like us. I was just quoting gone, who said that they are going to play a strong team. The press said the same.
But whoever plays, it should be an interesting match.

It is, when you basically rest most of your first teamers. It's a test match, just like the one against Denmark earlier this year, when Löw tried out a couple of new youngsters.
Helmes will start in the attack, for example. Helmes plays in the 2. Bundesliga currently. You get the deal.

so you're saying there's a lack of depth in german talent and having to resort to using lower league players, right?blutgraetsche wrote:Helmes will start in the attack, for example. Helmes plays in the 2. Bundesliga currently. You get the deal.
