I should rephrase - the only player (on either side) who looked like creating something. The other wingers (Kuyt, SWP, Joe Cole) were all shite, the strikers were Cr@p, the ACMs (Lampard, Gerrard) were gash.

Mascherano, Carra and Skrtel were the best players on the park.

For Liverpool. But I thought you said Liverpool were clearly the better side? Surely it should be our defenders who were the best players on the park in that case?

I thought Chelsea were piss poor all over the field, at least we had around 9 attempts on goal

You had 1 on target - the tame header by Crouch. All the others were optimistic efforts.

Ashley Cole had a good game. Lumpard sucked and I don't know what Grant was thinking of playing him in that game. Should have waited and brought him on late against Derby. I thought Babel was the biggest threat for Liverpool in terms of scoring himself or crating a chance. His substitution was a typically safe tactic by Benitez. Crouch should have scored but then so should Ballack. Mascherano was lucky to get away with the penalty. Had Benitez been a little more ambitious then Chelsea were there for the taking.

Just got back from the game. It wasn't a great match, which was a little surprising considering we started superbly, but it was comfortable for Arsenal. I can't think of any real chance for Blackburn and we were always in control. I thought Hleb was superb, as was Sagna. Everyone else for Arsenal was fairly average and a couple of players didn't play well. Our formation made it difficult for us at times, and we were a bit lethagic, but a win and no dramas so absolutely no complaints.

Agree entirely, the performance wasn't the best. Some of the passing in the final third was awful. Fabregas needs to find his shooting boots again as well, two big chances were missed tonight.

Hleb was my MOTM, he is a fantastic outlet for the team. We better not sell to Barcelona!

It seemed to me that Hleb's close control tonight was impeccable, even by his high standards. Plus he worked really hard for the team, constantly harrying opponents. His decision making was good as well tonight. He had a couple of good efforts at goal when it was the best option, and then played that superbly disguised pass to Fabregas which created a clear-cut chance for him.

Also worth noting that although he played relatively poorly tonight, Adebayor has now scored in nine consecutive games. If we do go on to win the league, Togo's inability to qualify for the ACN could prove to be a hugely significant moment for us.

As for Blackburn, it was tough for them with so many absentees, and they clearly went out with a gameplan designed on stifling our play. With only one winger on the pitch, it made most of their attacks so predictable, and therefore easier to deal with. If they had MGP as well they would have been able to stretch the play better and create more space to exploit, as it was they weren't able to create too many troubling moments from open play.

Okay performance, definitely deserved the win though.
