Spain are spanking Venezuela on their own turf, leading 2-0 after 20 minutes.

You seem to follow France quite closely, are they a bit of a second team for you? Razz

Using the first link which has been pretty good thus far. Wouldn't class them as a second team as such, I've just taken an interest in their progression post-Domenech. Additionally you get to see how a few of our players get on and and also players which have been predictably been linked to us as well.

Funny thing is that a lot of us were hoping for very close to this exactly same starting XI before the world cup... Lippi could have easily had this team, and these players were in form in 2009-10!

Germany are leading Brazil through a Schweinsteiger penalty. Kroos was brought down. Initial reaction was that there was a bit of contact, and Kroos took advantage to throw himself to the ground.

The talented Götze doubles their lead with his first international goal. He surged on to a through ball between the Brazilian centre-backs (who were miles apart), rounded the goalkeeper and finished well.

Brazil now awarded a penalty and Robinho converts.

Didnt see the first penalty, but that looked like karma. Wasn't a penalty for Brazil but given.

I don't think the Germany one was a clear error, or that Brazil were cheated, just one of those moments where a player could easily stay on his feet but it's 'professional' to take contact and go down.

Spain without Xavi are only half as good. Fact! Will be interesting to see who / how he will be replaced. Cesc, Thiago etc. are fine, but they are no Xavi.

Still, a great result for a young and promising Italian team. Italy is on track, they are modernising their style. They'll be quite a different team in the coming years.
