France playing a very smart game against Germany - not giving them any counter attacks! Blueprint to beat Germany, reduce the number of their counter attacks as much as possible.

van Persie with a horrible miss from the same distance where he scored against Tottenham last game, but it's an England shirt he sees in front of him and he skies his shot. To the Dutchies! <Ale> Biggrin

I've never seen Van Persie perform well for Holland,is he one of those players who shines more when he plays with average players?

Sneijers crossing and volleying technique is second to none.

I'm not even bothered if Gerrards injured tbh....he's finished,he has been average for 2 and a half years now since he lost his physical qualities which he relied on a lot(Acceleration, top speed, shot power etc.He still does the odd nice passes but he loses the ball to much for international football and quite frankly hasn't got a brain so he is still unable to play CM despite his experiance.

A very nasty clash of heads between Hunterlaar and Smalling as the second goal was scored. Hunterlaar could at least walk off the pitch but Smalling stretchered off with a head injury.

France with a textbook performance on how to play Germany giving them almost ZERO counter attacks. France look actually closer to making it 0-3 than the game being 1-2.

Kudos to Laurent Blanc and the French. That's the blueprint to beat Jogi's Germany.

2 great goals from Robben and Huntlaer cheers Huntlaer instead of Van Persie in the Euros?

Smallings defending for Robbens goal Razz

Van Bommel is just a class act as well, really underrated he's miles better than any England midfielder.
