Presumably the intention is to drop Rooney or RVP now though.. Maybe Mata too? Can't fit all this lot in. Definitely can't fit all 3 strikers in. They must see that RVP is finished and hope that Rooney isn't..

    Blind in for Carrick.

It was a brilliant show that on the BBC, they almost managed to not talk about Man Utd for a full minute.

I honestly dont get this team, nor van Gaal, he doesnt even prefer players like di Maria and Falcao. Also, ffs, if you start to build a team, you start from the backline.

In our case this means a new keeper. De Gea is not talented, and he will never be a decent keeper. And our defense is a joke.

I think the team is good. Rooney can play in CM if need be (he works hard enough). Van Perdue is also getting old and is injury prone so bringing in falcao makes sense. I don't see why w can't play a team like this:

    Falcao
    Van persie mata Valencia
    Di Maria Rooney
    Shaw jones rojo rafael
    De gea

To be fair, if you put Rojo as LCB, and move Blind into Carrick's position, that is not a bad team. Rooney can play a much better tenacious AM than Mata. More like:

    Van Persie - Falcao
    Rooney
Shaw - Di Maria - Blind - Valencia
    Rojo - Jones - Smalling
    De Gea

Could work. Will be very interesting to watch. When LvG gets his Strootman/Vidal and Hummels/Vlaar in January, this will be a complete team.

I don't rate Blind. I see all Holland games in the latest World Cup and IMO Blind is nothing special. Carrick can keep his place untill we get Strootman.
    Here is my team...

    -----------------De Gea

    --------Jones----Evans----Rojo

    Valencia---Carrick---Herrera---Shaw

    -------------------Mata

    ------------Di Maria---Rooney

I pick Evans over Smalling because the former is a better ball distributor than the later. I put Di Maria upfront so he can be our Robben by providing pace+agility. Mata would love to have a pacy striker ahead of him. Falcao can be played in expense of Mata (Rooney being drawn to number 10) or Carrick (Rooney being drawn to CM). RvP? He'll have to wait untill he finds his joy in playing football again.

Maybe last weekend changed your mind somewhat. Blind is not the best cover you can get for your defense, but he is certainly an upgrade on Carrick in that role. Good utility player, every squad needs 1 or 2 of these kind of players...

Once you get Strootman in Jan, and maybe a CB, your team is sorted.

Rio Ferdinand has hit out at David Moyes

Rio wrote:Rio Ferdinand has hit out at David Moyes’s tactics as Manchester United manager, claiming some of them were “embarrassing”.

The former England and United defender has set out a string of criticisms of Moyes’s ill-fated reign at Old Trafford in his autobiography #2 sides.

Ferdinand said the players became confused about how Moyes wanted them to play.

“Moyes’s innovations mostly led to negativity and confusion,” he said in an extract from the book, which is being serialised in The Sun.

He added: “The biggest confusion was over how he wanted us to move the ball forward. Often he told us to play it long. Some players felt they kicked the ball long more than at any time in their career.

“Sometimes our main tactic was the long, high, diagonal cross. It was embarrassing. In one home game against Fulham we had 81 crosses! I was thinking, why are we doing this? Andy Carroll doesn’t play for us!

“The whole approach was alien. Other times Moyes wanted lots of passing. He’d say: 'Today I want us to have 600 passes in the game. Last week it was only 400’. Who cares? I’d rather score five goals from 10 passes.”

Ferdinand, who left United for Queens Park Rangers in the summer, said Moyes brought the “mentality of a small club” to Old Trafford. He revealed one of the first signs of future problems was when Moyes banned the players from their ritual of eating low-fat chips on the night before a game.

Ferdinand also disclosed his upset at being left out of the United side that played Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

He said Moyes took the players to a park to practice their set-pieces, which he said was "bizarre".

"It was amateurish," he said. "I mean, why not just send Bayern an email or a DVD"

And as they were standing in public, Moyes told Ferdinand he would not be playing as he wanted a bit more pace in defence.

"It killed me," Ferdinand said. "Inside I wanted to scream and grab him. I'm a team player, so I just had to bite my tongue and stand there. But it was probably the worst single moment I ever had at United.

"I'd never been dropped for a big game like that - and to drop that on me in front of everybody."
