Gutierrez released, despite scoring on the final day of the season after fighting his way back from recovery from testicular cancer.

    Great PR move there Ale

I would've kept him as a squad player, he's not that talented but he's versatile and has a good work ethic, he doesn't hide like Jack Colback.

Players I would look at moving on.

    Krul
    Elliot
    Alnwick
    Coloccini
    Williamson
    Taylor
    Dummett
    Gouffran
    Colback
    Tiote
    Obertan
    Riviere

    Get em gone. ok

Has Krul dropped off that much?

Mental about Jonas, how much is he even likely to have been on? Surely a one year deal just to have a passionate guy with experience who's just helped keep you up wouldve made sense? Just to have in the dressing room even.. The odd outing. Fans seem to love him, players seem to too. Crazy club.

Weird how many people were saying that him and Ryan Taylor are "two of the best players at wor club" though..I didn't realise Taylor was still there.

Krul had a bad season, if there's a big change in coaches I would keep him, but there won't be. That Defoe stuff gave the impression that he doesn't give a shit, maybe Darlow coming in will give him competition, I would bet we had the worst 2nd and 3rd keepers in the league. You might get decent money for him now, but not if he continues getting worse, and i'm not sure he cares enough to sort it out. Players get too comfortable being mediocre on their long contracts.

McLaren is a solid experienced manager, it won't be him that will hold back Newcastle.
If he comes I'd recommend getting 100% behind him.

He's failed at most clubs he's been at, he's just been sacked by a 2nd division club. It's not him that will hold us back, it's the directors and the way they do things, McClaren is just a result of that. If we really wanted to we could've done much better, but a good coach would want more control. I do rate him higher than Pardew, but he will be stuck with Alan's poundland backroom staff.

Excuses for what? He'll finish lower midtable, maybe better if he gets some decent coaches around him and we bring in some players, the squad is a mess at the moment. Pardew will get relegated next season IMO.

I've always said the coaches are an issue, it's a boys club, even McClaren has only been hired because he's mates with chatty dad. Pardew's coaching staff looked like we had cast a net into a council estate pub, a bunch of grunts. McClaren wanting changes there is a very good thing.

The squad has been deteriorating and obviously needs an overhaul, and we need the transfer policy to match the coach. No point in giving small technical players to hoofballers like Pardew, we'll have to see what sort of football McClaren will play.

Pardew is partly to blame for the state of the squad aswell, getting rid of Ben Arfa and Mbiwa for political reasons, favouring dogshit like Williamson and Taylor. We need so many players, 2/3 CB's, a LB, CM, a winger, a couple of strikers. The guy signed a fat keeper from the lower leagues because he wanted a friend in the dressing room.

My problem isn't that Disabled people get benefits or care in general, they need both, it's that they get more benefits than the rest of us just because they are disabled, just because your disabled it doesn't mean that you need more benefits than normal people, in fact they need less because they are house-bound, wheelchair-bound etc.

And I support Liverpool because I am from Liverpool and live 10 minutes away from the ground and all my family supports them, I support Barcelona because I support football, and historically Barcelona play the best football. That's the same reason why I "support" La Liga against the financial might of the DPL.
