Although it's obvious by now Webb is Slur Alex's long lost son, Chelsea have only themselves to blame. The marking was attrocious for Hernandez's goal, Sturridge was too rash going in for the challenge for the first pen and Torres basically denied them another goal by failing to shoot for no reason at all.

The games between the top 4 - 6 nowadays are a case of whoever makes the least mistakes and slightly less shite defending wins. There's normally about 5 goals in these games because it's just end to end with no tactical discipline what so ever.Chelsea go 3 - 0 up but are still pushing all their midfielers up looking for more goals allowing Rooney lots of space to hurt them on the break instead of closing the game out Doh

Technically these games are shit as well with players losing control of the ball before they can manage to string 5 passes together.

People think these games are exciting? Na just frustrating to watch imo.

4 pens in the last two games for United now.

I agree with your other general point - the 'tribe' mentality seems to have gone to a different level this season. Ridiculous that they would boo Rio Ferdinand for supporting his brother. There really was no substantial reason for the booing. But it's not only Chelsea fans who are guilty of it eh? Wink

The reason we booed Evra was because he tried to intensify what actually happened with Suarez, plain and simple. Evra said Suarez called him a negrito 'about 10 times' or something and also said that Suarez said he 'doesn't talk to blacks' which I believe Suarez also denies. Suarez only admitted to saying 'negrito' once remember, the rest was all nonsense driven by Evra and snapped up by the Media who IMO are to blame for everything that's gone on from the Suarez witchhunt to seeing if players will shake hands etc they are to blame for what is happening now.

Why do you conveniently leave out the face grabbing incident. How you can think that grabbing someone's face and saying "negrito" isn't some way racially motivated?

I've said all along - I accept what he said was not acceptable but the way the media handled it (The Mirror having a headline: RACIST) and the severity of the ban for what can clearly be seen by all as not as bad as some make out I think was a disgrace. Evra said Suarez isn't racist; he was silly and used a word that some countries deem offensive in retaliation of being provoked by Evra and the club handled it badly as well; I'll admit that too but if Terry gets the same ban then I'll be absolutely amazed. Just you wait and see.

    That's more reasonable.

But Evra tried to intensify what happened with Suarez and at the same time said he wasn't a racist?

And ultimately, you're booing someone on the evidence of Suarez's opinion - one person's word against the others. Exactly what you criticize the FA for basing their judgment on. Talk about trying to have your cake and eat it.

    1) Evra is an odious little twat, regardless of the incident
    2) Evra started the abuse then went crying to the FA when he got a bit in return
    3) Evra exaggerated and changed his story throughout

it's normal to boo a player who behaves during the game with the intention of getting one of your players booked by diving or exaggerating injury or haranguing the referee, so it's ok to boo on opposition player who makes an official complaint about one of your players who said a naughty word.

Of course Luis Suarez isn't also an odious twat hey COTR? Laughing

Liverpool and Chelsea fans singling out Evra and Rio Ferdinand haven't really got any justification for doing so.

They do it because the tribal element of football has utterly distorted their appreciation of decency. I imagine most of these people are quite well balanced, normal people away from the subject of football. They're not the only fans in the country, but Liverpool fans have the additional influence of a management who got it completely wrong with the whole Suarez t-shirt issue. That was far more odious than anything the fans did, who after all cannot really be blamed when that is the stance the club takes.

Anyway, it's old hat now. I'm looking forward to seeing Spurs teach them a footballing lesson tomorrow on one of those special nights at Anfield... cheers

Play Bellamy and Suarez upfront with Gerrard in the hole and I'll be worried. Luckily, I'm banking on Kenny picking yet another bizarre first eleven and effectively handing us the 3 points. Ale

Even with the many mistakes made it was a exciting game to watch. The Man U players must know how to play certain refs and made the most of Webb. Chelsea need to give up on Torres his play and attitude can only hurt his team feel sad for him but needs to walk away and regroup elsewhere does anyone know if he has a drug problem?

Sure it does, you c**t! It sure does!

Villas-Boas is sooo disappointed seeing how against Manchester United, this season his team have been the victims of "very very dubious calls at Old Trafford and here at Stamford Bridge". Biggrin

The biggest controversy in that game is when Webb didn't sent Cahill off and give the penalty for United in the 1st half. Surely it would be a different story had the red card and the penalty given, don't you think?
