A whole lot better than many of the shit coaches out there. Plus, we need to rebuild anyhow. Could you imagine them hiring Ruud "sexy football" Gullit!? affraid pale
No Kluivert to fuck things up now. We'll at least qualify this time.

The press conferences should be a laugh. I reckon Van Gaal at Oranje 2.0 won't even have a honeymoon period.

God forbid he only calls up AJax rejects though... pale

It's a poor choice! LVG wont make the WC! Why? Look at this group, it looks a lot like the group from 2000. Same egos!

He wants revenge so badly, that he is blinded, but he will make the same mistakes. The qualifiers for 2012 were a perfect chance to rejuvenate. This group is much harder, and you cant demand from the youngsters to be there instantly.

Besides the likes of Midget will still be considered young enough to make it to the WC.

IE he is gonna do it with the same group of EURO 2012!

LVG would be a great choice for 2016. When we need a total rebuild.

Not to mention it's gonna be a total ajax wankfest again!

As for van Gaal being good with young players, the last time he was coach for Oranje, he made these people debut:

    Bouma
    Bruggink
    Van Bommel
    Melchiot
    Vennegoor
    Hofland
    Paauwe
    Ricksen
    Sikora
    Landzaat

Would have loved to seen a foreigner for once, Guardiola for example. Or Koeman in a double job, but that would never happen. Look, van Gaal aint a bad coach, but this group aint suited for him. It's at its worst age. And the ego's are gigantic. That will explode with van Gaal as coach. You cant totally rebuild sadly, well you can but, it wont happen. Therefore I think it will end in fail again.

I would have prefered it, when van Gaal would work on the real problems till 2016. IE how come we did lose the art of position football. And what happened to Dutch footballers in general? Both Belgium and Krautistan seem to develop way more talented footballers like us today. I mean, they have Kompany. We have Heitinga. Something has gone wrong. Of course there is still the Fey-jugend, and especially the NBKK draft that looks promising. But will it be enough!?

The real problems should be faced, how come ajax doesnt develop Dutch talents anymore. Sure VDW gets in Oranje thanks to a biased media. But he aint good enough. How come that The Hague, 3th city in The Netherlands, has Immers as it's best youth product since decades! These are all real problems that are way more important then who will become the new coach.

Also the supporter issue is getting out of hand. I mean, some Dutch fans were getting booed during the Euros by other Dutchies for not participating in the Mexican wave....Erm

Holland NEEDS REAL supporters again, not that carnavalesque people who should stay at speedskating. And the worst thing is, most of them are all 30+ that are on a company trip! They arent there for football, just for getting drunk and having a good time.

Still, it feels a bit like 2nd (according to Koeman LVG was 6th choice) I mean both van Gaal and that asslicker Blind tried to take control of Ajax earlier that year, but they lost that against Cruyff&co. So if you arent good enough for ajax, you are good enough to lead Oranje. Shows again the priorities in this country.

So, as you can see Pras, there are many problems that are all way more important then who would become the new coach.

However, van Gaal's first step into a the right way.

    Would be picking:

van Gaal to Oranje won't work because it CANNOT work

the EGOMANIAC can only work with KIDS who owe him everything and look up to him

already, fairly innocent guys like Ribery, von Bommel and Toni could not work with him

    so

    EITHER

he does a mass-CULL and gets rid of van Persie, Sneijder, Robben, VDV....

    ALL OF THEM

    or

he decides to play the Dutch U-21

in which case Holland have ZERO chance of doing ANYTHING in Brazil

we should clearly have stayed with von Marwijk

and allowed him to kick out all trouble-makers

the guy was on the right track Ale

alternatively, make von Bommel chief coach

Now it might become a proper jew fest with van gaal as coach and Blind and criminal Kluivert as assistants. His new squad looks decent already.

    Doel
Tim Krul (Newcastle United), Maarten Stekelenburg (AS Roma), Michel Vorm (Swansea City).

    Verdediging
Khalid Boulahrouz (Sporting Lissabon), John Heitinga (Everton), Joris Mathijsen (Málaga), Ron Vlaar (Feyenoord/Aston Villa), Gregory van der Wiel (Ajax), Jetro Willems (PSV), Ricardo van Rhijn (Ajax), Nick Viergever (AZ) en Stefan de Vrij (Feyenoord).

    Middenveld
Nigel de Jong (Manchester City), Stijn Schaars (Sporting Lissabon), Wesley Sneijder (Internazionale), Kevin Strootman (PSV), Rafael van der Vaart (Tottenham Hotspur), Vurnon Anita (Ajax), Jordy Clasie (Feyenoord), Urby Emanuelson (AC Milan), Siem de Jong (Ajax), Adam Maher (AZ).

    Aanval
Ibrahim Afellay (Barcelona), Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke 04), Luuk de Jong (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Dirk Kuijt (Fenerbahçe), Luciano Narsingh (PSV), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Arjen Robben (Bayern München), Bas Dost (VfL Wolfsburg), Ola John (Benfica), Jeremain Lens (PSV).

    cheers cheers cheers cheers

So, sadly not to many changes. Only Clasie and van Rhijn are new. Which are excellent choices. Clasie replaces van Bommel and van Rhijn, Bouma.

Still no van Wolfswinkel. Oranje Thread - Page 6 F_erm

So you wonder, has van Gaal done nothing weird so far? WRONG! Players have to report the time when they are going to sleep.

One has to wonder, if this counts as sleep?

    OFFICAL SQUAD for Belgium!

Doel: Maarten Stekelenburg (AS Roma), Michel Vorm (Swansea City), Tim Krul (Newcastle United).

Verdediging: Ricardo van Rhijn, John Heitinga (Everton), Nick Viergever (AZ), Joris Mathijsen (Feyenoord), Stefan de Vrij (Feyenoord), Bruno Martins Indi (Feyenoord), Jetro Willems (PSV)

Middenveld: Nigel de Jong (Manchester City), Kevin Strootman (PSV), Rafael van der Vaart (Tottenham), Wesley Sneijder (Internazionale), Adam Maher (AZ), Urby Emanuelson (AC Milan)

Aanval: Bas Dost (Vfl Wolfsburg), Ibrahim Afellay (FC Barcelona), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Jeremain Lens, Luciano Narsingh (PSV), Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke 04), Dirk Kuijt (Fenerbahçe), Arjen Robben (Bayern München).

    NO CLASIE Grr

Still, good to see de Vrij being picked. And even more so BMI got a call up out of the blue! And considering Mathijssen signed for us today the entire defense is almost made out of Fey players.

Also nice to see Maher being called up! A shame Clasie aint there, but according to van Gaal it's because the U21 needs to play a decisive match. Considering Anita also aint there it is safe to say van Gaal wont be playing with 2 dm's.

So overall im fairly positive. But if you compare it with the Dutch Euro 2012 squad. Only Vlaar, L.de Jong, Bommel, VDW and Bouma aint there. And to say it was all to blame on them its a bit harsh.

For a friendly game against Belgium that is. But it's getting very jewish all of a sudden.

Van Gaal is a massive weirdo, he didnt want to give the line-up but if the reporters said pretty please he would give it all. Which he did.

Now as I suspected it's a return to the 4-3-3 system.

    -------------Stekelenburg------------
    van RHijn---Heitinga----Mathijssen----Willems
    ------Midget----de Jong---------VDV
    Narsingh------- albino -----Robben

So basically it's the same shite in a new package. Behaving like an ass during the Euros is rewarding it seems.

He also already gave the subs for the 2nd half. Heitinga>Viergever, Matijssen>De Vrij, Willems>BMI VDV>Maher

Holland also have a new captain...Midget Rolling Eyes On the other hand, who else? There is not a single leader in that team.

Now the good news is that Holland are gonna play 433 again. But this means only one DM, hence I dont really believe vgaals story that Clasie is important for the U21(thank god he pulled out with an injury for that) So he has de Jong, Strootman and perhaps even Anita if he does well for Newcastle, infront of him. Now, Clasie is better then all of them combined and he can also play on VDV's place.

Mwoah, bit early for that. After the 1-2 Holland didnt keep the pressure on and the gap between defense and midfield was too big. And perhaps this was the reason why BVM used two DM's.

Now I didnt think de Vrij, Van Rhijn and Viergiever are all to blame for it. Considering the 2-2 was a mistake from de Jong. 2-3 from Stekeleburg and 2-4 from Lens. Nice for Martins Indi to give two assists though.

Belgium has a lot more talent then Holland though. I reckon they will get top 4 in 2014.

No, they are just lucky to have a talented group. Though it helps that a lot of Dutch clubs helped to develop all that Belgian talent. Holland will go through a dark decade if the Fey-jugend fails. Holland wont qualify for multiple big events. Holland's only true top talent is Clasie. Compared to other nations that's just not enough. It's obvious that people like Heitinga, de Jong and VDV needs to be replaced. But easier said then done.

    Anyway the ratings:
    Stekelenburg 5
    van Rhijn 4,5
    Heitinga 4
    Mathijsen 3
    Willems 4,5
    de Jong 4
    VDV 4.5
    Midget 5.5
    Robben 6.0
    Narshing 6.5
    Huntelaar 3

    Maher 5.5

They didnt had their luck with the draws, and there was always something wrong. Lack of a good coach/keeper/striker etc. But only got stronger and stronger. Debruyne for example. Insanely good footballer. Again, they have the quality to make the top 4, it wont mean they will actually do it Very Happy
