    it's fair enough I suppose

game over and league more important

but the PSV fans would surely at least have wanted even a marginal effort to win the game.

He is trying to get a "good" result to save the championships....

The way he is doing it, is completely wrong! Ajax and AZ are now officially battling for the championships ONLY while PSV are even missing UEFA Cup.... No No No No

He had to play full strength to play all or nothing. If you miss it you still played a good game but the opponent was better.... So you can play next saturday a good match again! [u]

2120: Sir Alex Ferguson is in the crowd at the Allianz Arena. He doesn't look very happy either - do you think he'd rather face Bayern? Or maybe he's just heard the price for Owen Hargreaves.

why are they even playing most 1st team members?

they should have sent a reserve side out there and concentrate on the league.

Pizarro has added some variety to their attack, as expected, but not enough. Bayern lacked a creative attacking midfielder all season, they can't replace Schweinsteiger in addition to that also.

Besides, it must be said, Hitzfeld got the tactics wrong by playing Ottl on the wings. He understood it himself by bringing Santa Cruz in the second half. Still, too late it seems. Görlitz would have made much more sense on the wings, for example.

P.S.: Van Bommel is doing well, but he needs a creative partner, can't do it alone in the midfield. Hargreaves is disappointing tonight.

I think its Ray Wilkins commentating on Sky who has just mentioned something I noticed a couple of minutes ago when Gourcuff was running down the wing - that Gourcuff has just recently come on but looks absolutely shattered.

the toughest CL tie we will ever have What a Face

pretty handy the way we get the hardest possible draw followed by the easiest possible draw.

next we get weeks of whinging from the special kid about the goal that never was conveniently forgetting the pen and sending off that would have been the other result

    Bayern - Milan 0:2 FT

Milan used their chances, and defended their lead well. Fair play to them. Bayern simply lacked creativity to come back, but kudos for trying to the last second.

    Good luck in the semis.

    To an extent it is....

Man Utd knocked out an Italian side in the QF of the 1999 CL...they then met an Italian side in the SF and beat them...this was the treble winning year...

2007...Man Utd have just knocked an Italian side out in the QF and face an Italian side in the SF...they are also on for the possible treble

I can see Batman's point Ale
