Let football do the talking.
if hyping is not the German way, then why do so many foreigners get hyped in Germany
you should have said: hyping Germans is not the German way, hyping everybody else is a national past-time
Hoeness just announced that they have signed WELTSTARS and he meant Ribery and Toni; not Klose
see Netzer on Holland, Siegenthaler-Klinsi on English football....
the list is endless
as for "let football do the talking": funny that, the ENTIRE world is letting talking doing the talking, only not the ever so eloquent Teutons
it really is TIME for Germans to stand up and make their case
most of us behave like shy-quiet little girls doing the washing up and being surprised that nobody showers us with affection and praise
it's a very female trait: doing a good job and hoping to get some recognition and ultimatively promotion (in the work-place) as a result
in most cases, " not selling yourself" means "not getting anywhere"
Germans will never learn that
in general, it is this "everthing foreign is better and we are so $h!t"-attitude that drives the best Germans out of the country
getting excited about Diego but not Klose
spiegel.de recently had a survey saying 20% of all German managers now live and work abroad
our very own Effenberg on this board said the other day that it was German negativity that meant he had no interest in going back
same applies to my two brothers who live-work in America and Asia
and when I see one more image of Netzer or Siegenthaler or those German Miesepeter like Lattek I realise that I am not ready for an immediate comeback either
which brings us back to flair and organisation
it is exactly sentences like " we now combine German organistion with Brazilian flair" that drive me completely mad
think of Lena Gerke
I am sure she combines German flair with German Puenklichkeit and German looks and beat Gisele Buendchen to the punch
the moment , you , my dear blut, embrace Lena, the girl from Cloppenburg, is the moment I move back to Germany
