We could do with another CB. He wouldn't be first choice ahead of Carra and Agger though.
£5m apparently.
The only reason he is "linked" is because Houllier tried to sign him when he was 16 before he signed a contract with us, and Tottenham because he is young and English. Fucking press.
if he wants a fast track to the english squad he knows what to do
a bid from the most successful team in england will be hard to resist kimmy
I hope the 5 million secures him
Man U are well stocked in defence i think.
Cesc wrote:Does anyone know how much Taylor was asking?
He wants to be on par with Milner and Zog(25k-30k), he was offered about half that. The local news is saying a deal should be tied up in the next couple of days, but ofcourse that is too positive to reach the national news, they'd rather print utter toss.

Kimbo is right , Man United don't need any more defenders. Pique and Evans (yes the guy who neutralised Torres last time they met) waiting in the wings.

You know more about him , he can play at CB aswell.
Kimbo , Taylor wont be joining Liverpool in the near future , he should be made captain of Newcastle IMO.

Indeed I do
He isn't the worst player... a solid unspectacular fullback
but mark my words
he will NEVER make it at united
I expect to see him lining up for sunderland in the next few seasons

no need to rai
I have watched him play in many games for northern ireland over the past year or two
he normally does alright then gets all the plaudits because
A) he is a Man U reserve player
and
B) he shows a bit of heart and determination
he is destined to be a mid level player but if he is happy to take someone like brown's or silvestre's place in your squad and settle for a bit part career then you may well keep him

eh quite a lot in his life I would say kimmy
he is now one of the best young defenders in england as opposed to being a spotty teenager
I would take him.. but his agent is obviously just looking to maximise the cash he gets with a few cheap press leaks

I agree with you. I have seen him only 3-4 times but never been reallyimpressed. Definitly would prefer Pique to the guy. He is as good as Taylor though who needs Rozenhal to hold his hand

Rozehnal was holding his hand last season was he lerd.
Don't hype up Pique too much, he might turn out to be another Rossi.

well I wasn't exactly being literal frank but you get my point
plus I would only really watch a la liga game if I wasn't out at the weekend which is not very often
so i look forward to seeing 'the next rossi' in action

I'd say there was 5/6 on Sky through out the season.

I havent seen Pique play that much; but the Barca and Real fans (on here) at the star of the transfer window mentioned how they would like to have him for their first team, so he must be alright.
Vidic has been a bit dodgy so far, but I guess it's not much of an issue when the team is averaging over 60% posession, due to the opposition not leaving their halves.

imo he is a very good talent. i wont compare him to taylor since i havent seen enough newcastle to judge but i would say he is very much like vidic. only problem i have with him is his ball control which isnt great.Rez wrote:COTR wrote:Kimbo wrote:L.r.d wrote:Definitly would prefer Pique to the guy.
