Chopra and Richardson for 10.5 million pounds lol!

Makes it even funnier to think that Man. Utd. fans (and some others) were hyping them up as being the one side coming up this year who would be guaranteed to stay up lol!

I think Roy Keane will be a decent man manager but so far he looks a crock of shite in the transfer market!

He's clearly unnaware of any league except for the EPL and the championship.

Could have got some genuine class players from France for that money ok

Both these players will be hungry to make the their mark in the Premiership though. Although I don't think Sunderland will do any better than about 16th.

Richardson, Chopra and Halford for £13m is fucking ridiculous. Im not saying keane is a $h!t boss but he has not spent well and i think if he continues to spend and buy like this Sunderland will be in trouble.

Halford was quality at Colchester. If he gets his chance and has the support of Keane, he could be a great acquisition for them

Oh keep going on like this all of you

Sunderland will stay up and stay up comfortably (hows that for sticking my neck out)

Seriously, this has happened before. Keane's signings like Edwards etc - i.e League one/lower end c/ship players. have been thought of as below par for a title-chasing c/ship club and they (and Sunderland) have proven everyone totally wrong.

Don't even bother comparing the two leagues.

Better sides then this Sunderland have come up and gone straight back down. It'll be hard for them next season.

True, but i've got a feeling Sunderland can do it. In fact, i believe there's genuine hope for all three promoted sides - even Derby.

    He's not that bad.

You can tell by his time at West Brom he is a half decent player even given a run in a team and also given confidence by his manager.

£5.5 million is a joke (hardly complaining) but I think he'll do quite well there.

regarding richardson he did well at west brom and is usually decent for england. i think going to a smaller club he will do good, just not man utd quality

His best form was for a relegation-threatened team who played him every week. I don't see what's so different about him playing for Sunderland.

5.5 million for a player with X-Factor coming out of his ears isn't so much in this summer's ludicrously overpriced footballing market. I mean, if Bent cost 15+, Richardson is about 1/3 of a Bent, which is arguably where he is as a player.
