Sunderland are close to signing Dickson Etuhu from Norwich apparently. He is a powerful central midfielder for anyone who doesn't know who he is.

Dickson Etuhu is a decent championship quality player - Keane seems to have the mentality that some championship players can make the step up, after watching the success of Reading last season.

Etuhu is ok, but if they pay over £2.5m they've been had

Kieran Richardson was asked what a realistic aim was for Sunderland this season, his instant reply, "Champions League."

Dickson Etuhu has now signed for Sunderland on a four year deal for £1.5m. Good deal at that price.

I honestly don't know what will happen with Sunderland - I'm not assuming they will be down the bottom, just saying that if they are, Richardson could prove useful.

Still needs to learn to control a football though...

I think Richardson will do well at Sunderland, he will play every game and he will show his WBA form. He isnt good enough for a CL side, but he is only 23, English, left footed, posses a good eye for goal (his freekicks and shooting is much better than Ronaldos) and is fast.

I think Keane realised he couldnt attract good foreign players so he is getting British players who are young, have desire and a point to prove.

It will be interesting to see how things turn out, but I do think Keano will keep them in the prem and cause a few upsets.

Etuhu is worth more than 1.5 million, but it remains to be seen if he is Premiership quality.

    Ward/Fulop

    Baird/Halford - Varga - Nosworthy - Wallace

    Edwards - Whitehead/Leadbitter/Yorke - Miller/Kavanagh/Etuhu - Hysen/Richardson

    Connelly/John - Murphy/Elliott

is a side fully capable of staying up in my opinion.

    Oh course Doh

    and Stokes Doh

I believe that they will play as an attacking team, Wallace for one is just as comfortable as a left winger and so is a naturally attacking full-back, and occasionally Keane has played Whitehead or Edwards at right-back to increase their attacking options. Leadbitter as well is a naturally attacking midfielder as well who netted 7 goals last season in the c/ship.

Howard will fail miserably in the Premiership.

Incidentally Derby need more striking options having lost Peschisolido and Lupoli, their only other striker they have at the moment is John Macken and he's hardly decent Premiership standard.

Good player for £1.5m. He is powerful and dynamic from what I've seen. He is probably good enough for a Premiership side, but only one towards the bottom of the table.

Has his off days and can often look lazy in certain situations. But is a very hard worker and will give his all to make himself the best player he can be. Hope he gets better treatment from Sunderland fans than he has done from Norwich and Preston fans in the past.

is that like the guarantee that henry won't leave?

richardson could be decent (hasn't really developed due to sitting on the bench), chopra didn't do a lot at newcastle, but if sunderland survive it will be by escaping relegation on the last day of the season.

Baird is at Fulham mate. Keeper is $h!t, defence is $h!t, midfield is fine, attack is also $h!t for the prem. They need a striker, keeper and a couple of defenders.
