Not a good weekedn for the refs. Riley was a disgrace yesterday. Guess hewas affraid of Keano. Not entirely sure how many, but he robbed Wigan of penaltieS.

Well Wigan's first goal was about 15 yards offside and they got two penalties so it wasnt exactly like the officials were dead against them. Bennett and Styles are the worst refs

So he was Cr@p in general. B & S are Cr@p indeed, but I hate Riley more, we nearly always end up at the wrong side of his mistakes.L.r.d wrote:jonathan de guzman wrote:Not a good weekedn for the refs. THing is, U*d totally dominated us in terms of possession but at the end of the day they only had 3 shots on target whilst we managed 2. We kept our shape and kept them out in terms of limiting their shots on target, our defence was incredible.
U*d though created chances and i was impressed with Nani whilst Giggs and Scholes were as good as always. I still believe they will win the league but they need a striker to play with Tevez ASAP.

Poor weekend for referees and linesmen. Fulham's goal that wasn't given was a very poor decision. It sounds like the ref in our game was poor as well. He let Blackburn get away with a number of nasty fouls and missed Fabregas handle the ball off the line apparently.

I believe there was a foul in the box from a Blackburn player in that incident. Not 100% sure though.Sheffield gunner wrote:Poor weekend for referees and linesmen. But yes in general the refereeing was very poor this weekend, roll on the referee to have access to a TV replay debate.

No that only happens in your neck of the woods. Chelsea didn't get a decision for the first 20 minutes plus a harsh booking for Essien. Hardly evidence of favouring Chelsea. Of course all the critics have the advantage of seeing it in slow motion and from all sorts of angles. From where he stood watching at full pace he saw Malouda go up in the air after Finnan, who didn't get anywhere near the ball, clattered into him. Andy Gray watched it about a dozen times and failed to identify correctly the Liverpool player involved in the incident. Liverpool didn't complain about the laughable free kick that won the game against Aston Villa.

Giggs was average imo. Scholes was awesome, shame all the plaudits will go to City players because he really desereved to be on a winning team.

Has Styles ever played footy himself? Can't have been much more than pub level. Anyone who played footy himself would know that was never a pen. Saw it immediately.
I understand they sometimes get a call worng, but this was a (sad) joke.

Fair enough. I couldn't get a stream to work but my brother did so I was catching bits and pieces of the game. His stream was really jittery as well so it wasn't too easy to make out what was happening at all times.

Re: Premier League Discussion 18-19th August
Xabi Alonso pisses me off.
Every time the 2 teams meet, Lampard seems to have a dig at him or mouth off at some point and Xabi does nothing !
You'd think Xabi would be the one starting on Fat Frank bearing in mind what happened on New Years Day a few years back.
Hopefully Xabi will keep it all bottled up and then suddenly explode into a career-ending tackle when they meet at the Bridge
I thought the best left back in the world had a blinder today

I come back from V to this Cr@p. 1 goal in 3 games for a side so attacking is fucking pitiful.

Nah, the yellow was for Terry, just the Referee made a Cr@p job making it obvious it was for him as opposed to Essien.
Irrespective of that the penalty was a joke
