CL Group G Thread - Inter - PSV - CSKA Moscow - Fenerbahce

hi from istanbul. it's nice to be in this forum.

play of fenerbahce was also big surprise for us too. our form graph is not good in the turkish leage this season. there was a big media attack on Zico before the match. But now wind is changing its side. because fb made the best perform of this year and i am not sure if it will be again.

it was very nice to see R.Carlos and Figo together on the field. And also two ex big name player were in the banches of both team.

which players do you like most in fb?

There are many well known players there - Kezman, Kazim-Richards, Alex, Appiah, Lugano, and of course R. Carlos. Plus I had Aurelio in my fantasy team, I've heard he's a highly rated midfielder. I don't have one particular favourite though.

What do you think of Tuncay's move to Middlesborough?

it's a hard challenge for tuncay because english style is more systematic then turkey. he was in a free role in left wing. zico used him as a second striker, sometimes used as left winger. but now his role is determined in boro. it's very difficult for tuncay. he doesn't have a youth team education. his first club match was played when he was 17. he is street football player. but his bravery is the best side of his play. he is a really winner. so boro has to use this attribution.

I was shocked at how terrible Inter played, if you can actually say they played. Fenerbahce were all over em and dominated the match and should of really of scored more.

Believe me, I was probably more shocked

Ironically, the makeshift defence that we were worried about before the game played ok, it was the star midfield and attack which sucked.

Hopefully all the players will improve and be more committed now that Mancio has given them a good kick up their backside.

Fenerbahce to win IMO. I just got back from Turkey about 2.30am. When you beat Inter, where I went was like an all night party. I don't really rate CSKA...beating them away from home would give you a good chance of coming 2nd in the group.

Hey bluenine... do you reckon that Mancio will play a weakened side against Roma with an eye on the must win game against PSV 3 days later.

Inter have been riding on Ibra magic for past few games. I think it makes sense to rest him so that he is fresh for the PSV Game.

I personally think that game is much more important than the Roma game.

I totally agree with ya, Ibra should be rested. Adriano+Crespo should start against Roma.

But I doubt Mancio will do that... he will play his top team against Roma, and then again against PSV... all these players are already coming from 2 games in 4 days, and now play another 2 games in 5. We are going to be at severe fatigue risk against PSV.

the only change I expect is that Mancio might play burdisso against Roma, so that Maxwell gets some rest.

The good news is that Chivu and Vieira are expected back against PSV... I hope they hit the road running.

PSV will try to play Italian : aiming for 0-0 and try to score with a Perez => Lazovic counter....should be a recipe for disaster for a Dutch team

With a not fully fit Chivu and an aging/tiring Samuel, our defence just do not have the legs to stop fast counter attacks... that said, with Inter down so many personnel, PSV could kills us if they play an attacking game... if they start defensively, I can see Inter winning.

Hoping that Ibra is fit and starts with Crespo... these two could come up with some magic! We need that tomorrow.

Come on a squad of your size and the money you spend, injuries should not be such a huge factor.

Inter have enough quality to beat PSV, but in Europe you have problems. Just like in Italy we do.

For one reason or another, we are missing 11 players. However much quality you have in your squad, that hurts.

But you are right, I think Inter are too tense about Europe... we just don't play with the same confidence in Europe as we do in Serie A. We need to get over that...

And I just dunno what Milan are doing in Serie A... you guys have become very slow starters under Ancellotti... I know peaking late in teh season helps your CL ambitions, but by that time you might be out of teh domestic race...

first game will start in about an hour. this is the most important game for fenerbahce. if fener can take a draw from moscow, fener will continue the european trophy at least in UEFA.

Nice for Koeman to see his 2003 players back. That was a decent ajax, shame about that Tomasson goal back then....

Mancini v Koeman , Mancini was in the Sampdoria team when Koeman scored that winning Champions League final goal ...

Still cant believe Sampdoria actually went to the final, was a quality team though. Doubt it will ever happen again.

It won't...we will never be that good again. Had the chance to start building when we finishd 5th. Instead we sold our best players.

Watched the highlights of Fener - Inter game on Sky earlier.
Ferner was suberb and having watched Alex for the last 2 years mainly in the CL it really is a suprise no one from Italy, Spain or England has signed him yet
