50 - 26

van Gaal built up and revolutionised a youth set up at Ajax (for example) , 50% or more of his successful side were homegrown , he deployed his own tactical formation (adopted from Cruijffs 3-4-3) etc
watch the 1994-95 Ajax team .. more exciting than anything Benetiz has done.
His only problem was *falling* out with Nunez at Barcelona and his national team problems.
Like Sparta says if Michels (whose team once raped Liverpool in Europe something like 5-1) does not make the top 5 .. the Times should never make anymore top 50 lists. Paisley should also be in the top 5 , the only coach to win 3 European Cups.

Should of stuck to managers British or one's who have worked in Britain.

Those 4 plus Busby are all so close, you could make a case for any of the 5 really.
Bubsy is the stand out for me though.
