How about another man - Wenger, maybe Capello, any other names?
that's because he is the most obvious one that is too high in the list
wenger is also too high, and mourinho, and beckenbauer above capello
not sure any of the modern managers should be in the top 10, except maybe lippi
this is a list that should be done when they retire

Re: another top 50 list
If there's ever gonna be a list on total achievement :
player for club and country
manager for club and country
president for club
lobbying for country
...and prolly a few things more :
Beckenbauer will finish first, second *and* third

Lobanovsky only made 32nd spot .. should have been top 20. (stills its not a official real list , only the opinion of the Times writer)

Re: another top 50 list
I don't get why Mourinho is so high? He has achieved the same as Benitez, winning the Champions League with an unfavoured team. Nothing he has done with Chelsea is impressive, other managers would have made them into a successful and attractive attacking team up there with Barcelona. $h!t list, as usual.

Your talking about FC Porto right , he has also won the UEFA Cup with them .. and i don't know when was the last time he lost a home game. Still he is high up as you say.

I disagree. Okay he has had loads of money and can buy the team he wants, but if it was only money, why didn't Ranieri win the league. He had the time to build the squad he wanted and in his last season Abramovich's money. You don't have to like his style of football and I don't, but you cannot deny Mourinho's achievements. He ended a very long wait for the title and retained it. Doesn't sound like nothing to me.
