No you are insane if you think Kuyt should have remained on the field. A mid air two footed lunge. It has no place in football. Had he connected then he could easily have broken the players leg.

Well he would have done well to break his legs considering his feet were not even out

Kuyt got lucky because he left the ground but there was very little intent, zero contact and it looked far far worse than it actually was

lol! lol! lol! He lost the ball 2 seconds earlier and went steaming in. No intent? That is the worst piece of BS you have ever posted. It was a straight red, there is absolutely no doubt about it.

lol! Wanna hear more bullshit from them Scousers! Have COTR tell you have much he rates Gerrard as a central midfielder! and how he wants a central midfield of Xabi Alonso and Gerrard. lol!

    .

Some excellent, impartial comments Rez ok

I like the way you do not mention the key injuries we have had, particularly when it was the exact excuse you united fans were using at the start of the season when you were playing poorly

the rest of the thread shows what I thought of the ref yesterday. Basically he nearly cost us the game by playing too much extra time so we were nearly hard done by Biggrin

As someone said yesterday, injuries don't count as a legitimate excuse. Every big club in Europe has major injury problems right now...in fact, you're the only ones with the luxury of a full backup squad of supposedly talented youngsters from all over the world, so you should have plenty of cover. Your first team itself is bigger than many other big clubs.

Just got back...I have to say, I think we did just enough for the win. Sunderland had a 15 minute spell where they were much the better team. However, the rest of the game, especially the first half...we were the better team.

Kenwyne Jones is a great player...strong, good in the air...really does cause defences problems.

MOTM for me was Robert Green. Our defence was a shambles...without Green we'd be conceding 3 every match at the moment.

Danny Gabbidon was $h!t...and my main complaint was how much space we gave them in the middle of the park.

    A 3-1 win...so very happy Smile Ale

Biggrin Come on COTR! say it again. Even better, post your "ideal" Liverpool starting lineup with Gerrard in central midfield again. lol! <Ale>

Or you can resort do diversion saying that I've written "the same thing a gazillion times" amusing dimwits in the process. lol!

I could just feel how mortified all of you "believers" of Gerrard's hype are nowadays after your own man Rafa Benítez publicly call your "inspirational captain" a piece of shite for midfield.

FFS! all Rafa had to say was "I took Gerrard out because I felt he needed to rest for a very important CL match coming up" or some bullshit like that. Rafa has gained the respect of many by saying what he felt/believes about your man's midfield play or lack thereof! Biggrin <Ale>

Go ahead COTR, keep saying how good your man is as a central midfielder. lol!

So is this Puro's clause for this season.

If Liverpool don't win the league, its all Gerrards faults. Like Liverpool didn't win the league last year because of injuries (same problem that Chelsea and Man United had as well). Laughing

I RATE Gerrard big time...anywhere away from central midfield. I believe he's a great player, BUT he's UTTER SHITE playing central midfield. He's very very good playing just behind the striker in a free role.

Is this the great Arnaud, the one and only? What's up Arnaud!

I RATE Gerrard big time...anywhere away from central midfield. I believe he's a great player, BUT he's UTTER SHITE playing central midfield. He's very very good playing just behind the striker in a free role.

Gerrard is a dumbass if he has to think. He's more of a just react type of player. Just let him play away from central midfield, and he's good. Biggrin <Ale>

    Welcome back Arnaud! <Ale>
Thanks Puro mate!! Yup banned 1 year for "political reasons" sometimes it's unfair not being an english in this board..you know wat i mean <Ale>

i see your point and must admit it's an interresting theory. At first i thought he was a DM but now it is clear he an offensive midfield.Maybe behind a striker should be his position.Interresting Puro. <Ale>

It's like some sort of surreal comedy duo

Gerrard has played behind the striker about a grand total of 20 times in his career and in central midfield about 3 to 4 hundred times. so if you want to call him a great player but at the same time say he is $h!t in central midfield then you are basing your entire argument on a tiny percentage of the games he has played in his life, most of which he was also terrible in as evidenced by the CL final

But he played in the free role off the striker when he set up the winner v Chelsea in CL semi 2005 and got you back in the game from there in the final...

...after his 1st half CM performance had put you 3-0 down !
