What makes Richards better than the likes of Dunne, Nelson, Campbell and Laursen? He's a better right back if you ask me, at CB he still gets caught out with his positioning.

rio is the most over rated player on this board by a country mile, yobo has had a few dodgy matches this season in fairness but overall for everton he has been superb, hence why generally they concede so few goals

Yobo really isn't that good Frank. Everton have defensive protection from Carsley; that's why they don't concede too many. Yobo would only just scrape into my top 20 centre backs

Frank. Do you honestly believe Yobo is a better defender than rio ferdinand?

I've locked the other thread so that we can do the positions with a slow and gradual build up rather than blowing our load in one go

carsley is sh¡te, and you could use that excuse for just about all those CBs, eg Carvalho and Terry get loads of protection from Essien, Makelele/Obi Mikel.

Yes, but Carvalho and Terry have won the league twice and have got to the semis of a CL twice.

Yobo really is a limited footballer. Its shocking that you've omitted Rio and included him, whatever the agenda
