It just shows the pathetic agendas of many of the posters on here when they can try to turn a 4-0 win into a negative.

I was at the game and Chelsea rarely looked like scoring. We wouldnt even be having this discussion had the decision been given. If we fck up the penalty then fair enough - but nevertheless it was a chance for us to go ahead.
It was 0-1 when the Tiago incident happened. It would only have drawn you level at best, in a game where you were on the back foot for most of the game.GR-09 wrote:b) We were doing well until the own goal - but again, thats completely irrelevant - we had a chance to go 2-0 up but the decision went your way.
I'm sure there were decisions in that game that went your way. By the way, what about the free-kick in the FA Cup semi-final? If you could highlight any game-changing joke of a decision, surely that would be it?GR-09 wrote:c) I dont have to go back to the 90's. Like i said, there are more - im more than happy to go back and check, but its rather pointless - Chelsea under Jose always got lucky with refs. Maybe not so this season
Translation: Jose got more fines and touchline bans than any other manager in the Prem, while Chelsea picked up more fines and more red cards than any other team in the Prem under Jose.
1)Nope it was 0-0-right before half time when the incident happened. thats 1 point at best we could have done with.
2)I dont think there was anything wrong with that decision- but i seem to rmemeber in the same season- a Chelsea game where we had 3 legitimate penalty turned down. It must have been a CL game.
3) I wonder why that is the case... with Jose and the red cards that is.... interesting point that

I don't think his form for Liverpool has ever really been questioned either (he had a blip at the start of the season, but other than that he's always delivered for Pool).
Incorrect. He was amazing at the start of the season, then got injured and took a while to recover when he was fit again, now he is on fire again. The man is a joy to watch when he plays like this. I can't wait to see him and alonso in tandem with torres when alonso comes back
When isn't Gerrard amazing according to you coater?
Maybe to you. Personally, I've never found a professional footballer incapable of controlling a football a joy to watch, no matter how well he's playing.
If you think gerrard cannot control a football then it is a total waste of my time even wasting the 30 seconds it took to write this post on you
Well he can sometimes control a football, but I've become so accustomed to see the ball bounce off him and land 3 yards away from his feet, every time he puts on the white shirt.

[/quote]If you want more penalties try getting into their penalty area more, generally works. Also, Drogba will never win them, because refs hate him.
So you admit refs are biased against us. I rest my case.

I recall Portsmouth gave fat Sam's Newcastle a football lesson in the previous home game. 3-0 after 10 minutes wasn't it!

Nothing wrong with that decision? Since when was sliding to intercept a pass (Carvalho) and clearing it out of play a free kick to the opposition?

I was hoping you could tell me this, seen as you told me that Jose and Chelsea received preferential treatment from referees.

How many times has Gerrard lunged in and not been sent off? If there is one player in the league who gets preferential treatment it's him.

It's the truth. I'm not gonna just hype. I hate how our manager plays so defensively when we have a single striker injury and he won't buy experience in defensive positions where it is more valuable than talent. We don't have a single winger in the sqad and Eboue is a poor imitation. Our player aren't clinical enough with all their talent. But without a doubt, we do play the best (attractive) football in the league.Z wrote:shazlx-mas wrote:Well I didn't watch either so I make direct comparison, but still it's not possible for Liverpool even at their best, to play equal football than Arsenal. Tottenham 2-3 Birmingham FT
Never a dull moment at WHL! Birmingham were hopeless yet Spurs have somehow thrown this game away. Shocking result for them, particularly with Keane sent off and Bale limping off injured.

I did say a point at best we could have done with - but there was a strong case for all 3 points as Chelsea rarely got forward and we were in a a strong position - and up until that point we were the closest team to scoring.
And when theres a case for all 3 points, we;re talking about a place in next season's Champions League.
Im sure theres more to it than that- on the free kick
but like i said, theres been far more decisions that went your way that season - that game where im struggling to remember- which caused an uproar in liverpool - where we had "3" legit pens turned down - if thats not clear ref bias towards Chelsea, i dont know what is...
And the 05 CL semi - Uncle Romans 6 minutes added time.. which nearly gave Chelsea more time to equalise - nearly cost us a place in the finals again.
And Cech should have been sent off for his tackle on Baros in the same game - and a penalty awarded. The ref came out the next day and said he did Chelsea a massive favour.
Jose always put pressure on referees - whichs why referees choked in Chelsea games - that John Terry "Cech-esque" save springs to mind - dont think he even got booked. - if thats not "preferential treatment" i dont know what is..
