Rubbish, he knows there's something wrong or he wouldn't of taken him off penalties.
If Jose let Flumps take the pen, the game would still have been 1-0 and Bremen with a chances to take away points. Jose didn't want to gamble and took the sure thing, as easy as that.

He's deluded about everything else though.

Drogba was pushed (for the pen). I think it was more clear from inside the stadium than on the tele.

Lampard's penalty claim was the opposite. It looked a dive in the stadium (although the fans nearby were absolutely incensed - it wasn't just a half-hearted appeal), but tele replays show he was tripped. The only penalty dive came from Ballack (1st half).

Terry should've had a 2nd yellow for a mis-timed tackle (don't blame him for his yellow he did get, they were breaking quickly).

I thought the ref was very fair last night.

Ash had quite a poor debut imo in a tight midfield. He had all the wing to himself (something that I actually think doesn't suit him - unlike Bridge). Still, it's early days yet.

I'd say our best player was probably either 1 of the 2 goalscorers (Essien or Ballack). Although Lampard played some excellent through balls, he did little else. Makelele also looked poor.

I also thought Bremen's 2 CBs did a great job on Drogba and Shevchenko.

If you talk about Naldo, I agree S4P. He probably was our best man on the pitch. But Pasanen, although he did ok, is simply not international class. It was due to his mistake that you scored the first goal.

We need Mertesacker back ASAP. Once he and Naldo have geled, our 'Twin Towers defence' should be quite a challenge for any striker, especially in the air.

Won't happen. Only if the flying dutchman does what the name suggests: dive and get a penalty for it. Very Happy

Since the Germans learnt us how to make a schwalbe we are getting better and better innit. Robben still has a lot to learn but last night RvP was beautiful!

I'm not sure that Cole actually understands that a 'pass' is only a 'pass' if it reaches its intended recipient. By this criteria he made almost no passes - but he did kick the ball to the opposition an awful lot, so that's something at least.

He also got caught on the ball 3 times. But seriously he kept getting into good positions and he ket going - he was clearly nervous.

By chance, any Bremen/Barcelona fans going to their match?

I know TITO's going to Sofia-Chelsea, I can't really go because a) I'm not a season ticket holder, so it's virtually impossible for me to get tickets and b) I can't take any more time off work.

I won't be going to Bremen for the game. I'd rather watch it in the pub here to be honest, it will be a good game but not worth the money (no offence to Bremen fans and German people).

Might go to London for the Chelsea game even if I don't get a ticket though.

I should be able to get a ticket for the Chelsea-Barcelona game, but even if I can't, I certainly won't watch it sitting at home on the sofa Ale

Not a season ticket holder mate, so it'll be virtually impossible for me to get tickets. I'll try, but I probably won't get any.

Would love to go to the match though. (It also depends on if I can get time off work).

It always rains at this time of the year in Barcelona (dunno about the rest of Spain) and it rain very heavily.

I have to say that the Levski fans were great, they continued to sing even after the 4th goal and with the heavy rain. Barça fans as usual were crap, we only sing when we're winning against a big team.

Most of our fans are the same. They will raise the tempo if we go down to 10 men or if we're winning against a big team too. They've always been the same too (even pre-Abramovich-Mourinho)

Actually I think most of the old people in the Camp Nou were there in the 80'sandr even before, some were even in the old stadium (Les Corts). I can't really say how the atsmophere was back then (80's) because I was only born in the 86.
