Sounds like he dived for it..

Don’t think he dived there was some contact, was a soft penalty. It’s the cosmos, balances out the events of this past Monday.

    Clear dive

    http://www.d1g.com/video/show/1592157

The referee has the final say at the end of the day.

He dived a few times today and that penalty was a clear dive, but this is the correct way to respond to being booked for diving when you didn't dive. <Ale>
Doh it just makes it far more likely to happen again, because he's further cemented his reputation as a diver

He didn't dive for one year, but he was denied a clear penalty and booked for diving. Now he got that penalty back and thats the end of that. <Ale> He can go back to not diving again, if the same thing happens then he can dive again. Biggrin

They were just talking on the radio and it was suggested that people only go on about him because he is Portuguese. Gerrard is just as bad if not worse but doesn't get anything like as much criticism. It's a case of xenophobia.

Ya reckon? Surely it reinforces his diver reputation and vindicates the refs who don't believe him when a wolf really does attack his sheep.

Why should he lose a goal in the race to finish top scorer because of a refs incompetance and wrongful decision? to prove he is not a diver? there is videos out there of ronaldo's top 50 dives and 45 of them are not dives. These people don't really care if he is or isnt. <Ale>

Everybody gets robbed of goals for one reason or another. It's just something players have to live with and hope that they get a few they don't deserve to even things out (as seems to be the case here).

Lrd that is the worst kind of logic for a football fan. WTF, Ronaldo definitely dived more times than he's got yellow cards for diving and you think it evens itself out. And anyway the money decision was a dive. 0 contact, Ronaldo could have easily jumped out the way for it. I won't feel sorry for him if a Cattamole injures him because he gets pissed and I certainly don't feel sorry for not winning wpoy.

PS. Ronaldo dived at least three times last season to get penalties, most obviously vs Spurs. so go f@ck yourself.

So you think he dived on monday? this says it all about how clueless you are. I didn't see one article or report that didn't say what a poor decision it wss. The keeper made no contact with the ball, he blocked ronaldo who jumped over him and was also touched as he did that. This is a clear penalty and red card. He didn't get it. Ok so he is losing a goal from a perception he dives. The best response is to dive and win a goal, your perception is proved correct and he doesn't lose a goal <Ale>
