He dived a few times today and that penalty was a clear dive, but this is the correct way to respond to being booked for diving when you didn't dive.

it just makes it far more likely to happen again, because he's further cemented his reputation as a diver

Why should he lose a goal in the race to finish top scorer because of a refs incompetance and wrongful decision? to prove he is not a diver? there is videos out there of ronaldo's top 50 dives and 45 of them are not dives. These people don't really care if he is or isnt.

So you think he dived on monday? this says it all about how clueless you are. I didn't see one article or report that didn't say what a poor decision it wss. The keeper made no contact with the ball, he blocked ronaldo who jumped over him and was also touched as he did that. This is a clear penalty and red card. He didn't get it. Ok so he is losing a goal from a perception he dives. The best response is to dive and win a goal, your perception is proved correct and he doesn't lose a goal
